I nodded.
"What did he want?" I asked.
"I don't know." Ella replied. "He said he'd be waiting in the training room."
I nodded again, then walked away, towards the training room.
I reached the door, and I paused. I took a deep breath, then I pushed open the door.
Rico was alone. He turned around and saw me.
"Zoe." I didn't say anything.
"I wanted to see you," he carried on, "do you remember what happened, in the infirmary?" He asked.
The kiss.
I hesitated, then nodded. I tried so hard to forget, to pretend it hadn't happened, but it had. Rico sighed.
"I can't ignore it. I've tried, but, I can't." He breathed out. I looked up at him. His handsome, chiseled face, laced with concentration and thought.
"Neither can I." I admitted.
"What can we do? I don't know how it could work out." He whispered. I shook my head.
"You never know until you try." I said.
I looked in his eyes. They were like lush, green, grass blowing in a gentle breeze.
Everything apart from Rico went blurry, my hearing was reduced to only my thumping, echoing heartbeat.
I leaned forward, and my lips crashed against his.+++
I walked into the mess hall. It was almost empty now, it was late.
I saw Ella sitting alone at a table, her head resting on her arms, her eyes closed.
I sat down next to her, and she looked up.
"Zoe! Where were you? What happened?" She asked, now wide awake.
I shook my head and sighed.
"I don't know. I really don't."
I guessed he was my boyfriend now, but I wasn't sure, I had no idea.
"You don't know? Well, tell me what happened!" Obsessed Ella.
I looked at her, then I explained everything.
