One month had passed and it was time for Michelle's aptitude test. I could tell she was really nervous, she kept tapping her foot and she couldn't keep still.

"Hey, Zoe?" Asked my sister while we were eating breakfast.

"Yeah?" I replied.

"Well, since it's going to be my last day at school, I was wondering if you would help me on the train." She said, looking down at her plate. My mouth fell open.

"Oh my gosh, yeah of course! It's so much fun, and don't worry about anything, just jump." I said, I was so pleased Michelle was finally going to try the train.

I sat on the floor with Ella on one side and Michelle on the other, Michelle kept getting people looking at her strangely because she was new, I would stare at them really badly and they would back off, but there were some older kids who were about her age, who would congratulate her or say hello.

When the school came into view, we stood up and Ella jumped out. I took Michelle's hand and was about to suggest we go together, but she pulled away and said,

"I want to do this alone." There was courage in her voice but I could see that she was scared.

"You go first." She said.

"No, I'll-"

"you go first." She persuaded, God she can be stubborn. I jumped off and rolled on the ground, I stopped on my knees and looked for Michelle, she jumped out of the train and landed on the grassy hill, she tumbled to the ground. I ran over to her and she looked up at me, her eyes sparkling,

"That. was. amazing!" She said, I laughed in relief.

"I told you, you should of tried before!" I said, helping her up.

"Well at least I did it once." She said, and I thought about how after tomorrow, I may never see her again.

"You choose the right one tomorrow ok? Don't let me, or mum or dad stop you from choosing the faction you want to be in, ok?" I said, my voice breaking at one point. She nodded and pursed her lips. We walked to class in silence.

At lunch time, I usually sat with Ella and the other Dauntless kids, but today I sat with Michelle, Ella came along to and sat with us. During lunch, the names would be called out and they would have to go for their aptitude test. You're not allowed to talk about your results until a week after, so I would only know what Michelle got on visiting day. visiting day was where family could visit their relatives during their initiation test at that factions base.

My thoughts got interrupted when a loud booming voice said,

"Michelle Grace." Michelle stood up and touched my hand lightly.

"Good luck." I said, even though I knew it wouldn't make a difference.

Michelle left and turned the corner towards the test room.

"Do you think she will be ok?" Asked Ella.

"Yeah... Yeah, she'll be fine." I said, looking off towards where Michele had disappeared.

"I hope."
