The dull noise of egg cracking numbed my senses, I didn't fill out my chart yet and I hadn't cracked my egg yet. In fact, all I was doing was sitting, drumming my fingers on the scratched up table and thinking about Tom and Leo both. I know for a fact I had not made a mistake of choosing to break up with Leo, he wasn't someone I wanted to have near me all the time, but I knew Tom just needed me for answers. "Miss Evans! Your egg hasn't been cracked! Crack it, let us see what your future is!" the ruddy Professor waddled over and began to breathe over my shoulder, making my uncomfortable. "Go on then, crack it!"

"slightly to the left... hard landing... broke upon impact," I muttered as I scribbled down my notes, many Ravenclaws have been known to develop an interest in this branch of Divination, not me, however. A yawn escaped my lips and I dropped my quill on my paper, dripping a splotch of ink onto it, the splotch spread out and arranged into letters and a word, Death

"My dear, that means death!" I sighed, irritated.

"I know, it's strange that the ink would write that but... oh you mean the egg, don't you," a sick feeling grew in the pit of my stomach, this was the third death omen I'd received all year, what's next? The grim? There was a strange feeling in the air, cold while it's hot, overcast while its sunny, sad while they're happy. I couldn't explain it. She just sort of bumbled off, looking at other students charts, making negative comments. "Why do I take this subject?"

"Because it's required for you to become the Minister for Magic," Cassy looked sweetly up at me, wiping egg whites off of her hand.

"Do you think anyone would care if I walked out right now? I'm sick of this," she shook her head.

"I wouldn't draw too much attention to yourself at the moment, besides, the hour is almost up," nodding, I continued to write dull notes onto the chart. "Leonard is really upset. He's not crying or anything but he won't speak to anyone... what's wrong with him?" I pursed my lips, lowering my head into the book an paper even more, the smell of egg filled my nose. "You know, don't you?"

"I broke up with him," I murmured quietly, lifting my head slightly.

"Oh... you found out, didn't you? Listen, I'm really sorry, we love each other a lot and he said it'd be okay and nobody would find out. Tom told you, didn't he? That snitch!" she began rambling as we were dismissed, not stopping to take a breath, or even explain what she was talking about.

"Wait, what are you talking about?"

"You already know... when Leo and I snogged while you were unconscious. We love eachother so much and dating you was preventing it," I stopped dead in my tracks, causing students behind me to run into me and trip. "I didn't think it'd hurt you," forcing a smile on my face a began to walk again, more robotically this time.

"Oh no, not at all," I forced my words out through clenched teeth, "it doesn't bother me," I spotted Tom yelling at a group of Gryffindor boys who were shooting hexes at passing Slytherins.

"I love him so much, he's practically meant for me!" she gushed, I kept my eyes on Riddle as we passed him, his gaze met mine for a second before he looked away.
