As he helps me to my feet, I truly couldn't believe my eyes. I haven't seen Hunter Mikal, in Years. Actually, come to think about it. The last time I saw him was the 8th-grade senior trip. That was about three years ago. I dust myself off still memorize, were his eyes always this honey-golden?

"Are you okay Ava?" He asked in a husky voice.

"Ummm uhh-huh. Yeah, I am fine." I respond still taken by surprise.

"Here sit down." He said helping me to the couch.

"Hey, you guys, sorry to mess up the reunion but Kai is still wounded over here!" Shouted Hope trying to help Kai off of the floor.

Hunter turned and quickly went to Kai to check him. I myself ran over even though, I was still dizzy from nearly getting the life sucked out of me. Kai's life meant more than anything. The girls and I tried to help Hunter move Kai to the couch but Hunter was able to do it himself. Kai woke up once he was laid down onto the couch.

"How bad is it?" Hunter asked Kai.

"It burns a little but I am fine. I should be able to manage for a few more minutes." He responded still sounding a bit weak.

I saw the deep scratches on Kai's back, there was blood everywhere. I knew he was in pain, However; Kai was just too man enough and too stubborn to admit it.

"Hunter, can you heal him?" Asked hope with an ounce of hope in her voice.

"No. Unfortunately, not yet. A guardian does not get their healing power until the Coven ascends into one." He replied.

"What are you guys talking about? This night just keeps on getting weirder and weirder. First, we get attacked by screeching weird shadow monsters, who try to kill us all and end up hurting Kai in the process. Then, Hunter magically appears like Zeus. Now you're talking about healing powers and guardians and a whole bunch of crap I don't understand. It is enough that earlier today I was hearing those things calling out my name. I thought I was going crazy! Maybe, maybe I am? Maybe this is just a really bad dream, I don't know."

I vented out loud while sitting down at the end of the couch. I was trying to put all the pieces together, trying to figure out exactly what was going on. The truth is I had no clue, but it seems as if I was the only one who was out of the loop. I fold my arms across my chest while everybody stares at me. I couldn't help but say it. I wanted some kind of explanation but no one would tell me anything. It's like they want me to go crazy and it was getting me really angry.

"Well, why's everybody looking at me? It's not like I'm crazy. Everyone saw what I saw. And somehow knows more than I do! So, therefore; I think I deserve some kind of explanation."

I replied to their stares with narrowing my eyes at them.

Hunter looks more confused than anyone else in the room. Yet he was the one who just came into the cabin out of nowhere with lightning bolts flying around him.

"Did you say that the shadows whispered your name?" He asks.

"Yes, those creatures been bothering me all day. Whispering my name and blowing cold chills my way. They're creepy as hell and I don't like them at all." I pout.

"First, of all, they're called Shadows, the others are called Screechers. Their both low-level bottom feeder demons that usually work together. What I am taken by is how you understood them?"

"So, It's not that hard they are talking English. Did you just say demons? "

"No. No, they were not. Ava, no one can hear them speak words. Demonic beings speak in tongues. All people can hear is their moans and torturous cries. As for words only other demons or dark magic beings can understand their language."
