The next morning, I woke up with so much energy. This is something I don't mind, I always was so sluggish in the morning. I even had breakfast at the table with my aunts and Tatum. I usually was so tired and took forever in the morning to get ready that I was not able to sit and eat with them. I always had to take it to go. Or I would just buy an iced latte and not eat anything until lunch. However, it was a little odd at breakfast, the aunts and I are still rocky from the other night when I had my outburst. Even though we haven't discussed the incident, I think they are coming around.
"So, today we find out which Crystal is ours."
I said to break the silence. Even though I didn't know much about these Crystal that Hunter mentioned.
Tatum just stared at me with a mouth full of pancakes.
"What?, did I say something wrong?"
Tatum just shook her head. I think she was shocked that I was willing to finally talk witch stuff with the aunts.
"Really? That's great! That means you will also find out which element you have."
Replies Wendy excited.
"Oh really? I didn't know that. Why didn't Hunter say anything?"
"Maybe he didn't want too much pressure on you. I mean you didn't handle the last news that great." Says Tatum.
"Okay... I guess I deserve that."
I looked at everyone and they were not trying to make any eye contact with me.
"I really am sorry. To all of you. How I handled things was completely wrong, I admit that. You don't know how much I wish I handle things definitely."
Everyone's face changed. They seemed more sympathetic to my feelings.
"We wish you did too, honey, but you didn't. We accept your apology. We are sorry if we seem like we are giving you the cold shoulder. It's just, we didn't expect that reaction from you. You took us all by surprise. We can't imagine how you might have felt knowing that we all knew this big secret and you were left in the dark. For that, we are sorry as well. That's in the past now and we all should move forward. I love you, you are our family and you will always be in our best interest." Says Lily.
"I love you guys too." I smile.
"We love you too!" They all reply with smiles in their eyes.
"Cmon group hug!" Yells Wendy.
We all hug our problems away.
After a morning of warm hugs and full stomachs. Tatum and I went on our way to meet up with the gang. As Tatum drove with the windows down, the wind blew in our hair, it felt so peaceful. I start to think about how much I am happy that everything was getting back to normal with my family and friends. It was rejuvenating. I was proud of myself in how I quickly accepted my new life. I usually got mad at Tatum for days for eating my ice cream. The thought made me crack a smile. Although, now I am at peace with who I am. I guess I always knew deep down inside I was different. At least I wasn't alone. I had the people I care for the most by my side and that's all that matters.
The car starts to slow down. We stop right in front of a huge cave I have never seen before. The cave was deep into the woods of our hometown. Strange, I thought. I have never heard anyone talk about this place. It was definitely creepy, in an intriguing way. In a way that you know, you shouldn't go in there but then curiosity kills the cat.
"What is this place?" I ask curiously.
Tatum chuckles, "the Cave of Wonders"
"Okay, Aladdin." I laughed
