Chapter 4 - déjà vu

After the grenade went off a fellow 141 member found Simon on the floor and called 

for help. Half an hour later Simon is in hospital again but with half his face blown 

off and minor burns on his hands. Billie was called upon arrival and was sent 

straight to the ward Simon was in. Simon appeared to be dead, his blood everywhere. 

Billie sat next to him for a while asking “why you?” at that time Gary was around and 

sat next to Billie saying “he was my best mate, why did he have to go” Billie said 

nothing and cried next to Simon. Gary suggested that they go but Billie refused 

to leave and said to Gary “you can go but I’m staying”, with that Gary got up and 

walked to the door then looked round and said to Billie “if you need to talk you 

know where to find me” Gary than opened the door and left, Billie still sat next to 

Simon. She thought of all they done together and said to Simon while holding 

his hand “if you are still there give me a sign”, nothing happened so Billie left and 

went home. Simon woke up wondering where he is but soon thought hang on I have been 

here before. The nurse said, “2 visitors were here to see you”. Simon asked “who” 

the nurse answered, “a Billie Jackson and a Gary Sanderson” Simon remembered that he 

was meant to get married about a week ago and asked the nurse to call Billie and ask 

her to come to see him. The nurse said “I will see what I can do, in the meantime 

relax and you will be up in no time” and then left the room. An hour later Billie 

walks through the door shouting “what the fuck you were dead, I saw you and why did

you never turn up at the wedding answer me that”, Simon tried to tell Billie that he

was on an op but Billie had none of it, eventually Billie calmed down and 

apologized. Simon asked Billie to do something very special, Billie asked what

it was, and Simon said “Billie, would you have sex with me?” Billie asked “what here 

in a flipping hospital room?” Simon nodded and Billie thought it won’t hurt, so she 

locked the door, closed all the blinds and killed all the cameras. 2 hours later there

was a knock on the door and Billie rushed to reset everything she did to the room and 

unlocked the door and started to leave but before that she gave him a kiss and said

good bye to Simon but Simon said “I will marry you one day” Billie smiled and left. 

After 6 weeks in hospital Simon was discharged and went straight into training 

but remembered that he had to plan for the wedding, so after training he went home to

plan. A month later, wedding day, Simon is all suited up in a white suit with a full 

face ski mask that had a skull mouth printed on it. The wedding took place in

the UK at cattrick garrison, because Simon planed it there. After the wedding there

was a man in a black suit and shades, Simon thought “oh shit, what now”. Billie 

couldn’t see the man but knew Simon did so she asked “who is it?” Simon answered “no

one babe” but Simon has been waiting for that day, the day he dies and will never 

see Billie again.
