GHOST The story before the death

Chapter 16 - The beginning...

Ghost is packing away his diary when he heard footsteps behind him, it was roach, 

and he wanted to know how long ghost was going to be. Ghost told him to wait outside 

the door, which roach did. After a few seconds pasted, ghost burst out the door 

and headed to the briefing room to attend general shepherds briefing. On the way to 

the briefing ghost saw someone standing next to a blurred object, something ghost 

couldn’t recognise, but he didn’t stop walking. Price saw ghost and shouted “on 

the double, you’re late!” ghost and roach started running he got to the room and 

entered and soon sat down. Shepherd walks in, greets everyone, and starts the brief. 

Shepherd starts with “It's been a tough fight, gentlemen. We've lost more than we ever 

dreamed. But we will recover.” Shepherd pauses; he then continues while holding up some 

documents “I've got a blank check. And we're gonna use every cent of it killin' Makarov.” 

Shepherd pauses again and looks at price. “Despite what the world may say, we are not 

savages, we don't kill civilians. We use precision. There's an evil man hiding in these 

shadows and we're gonna bring him into the light. Once his face is revealed, we will write 

history, gentlemen.” Shepherd stops talking for a while and pulls up the 2 locations on screen 

for the team to see. Price looks at both and blurts out “Sounds like we gotta be in two 

places at once.” Shepard replies with a question “Impossible?” price has confidence in 

this new team he has and answers shepherds question, “Not for the One-Four-One” “Fifty-

fifty chance to take out Makarov, eh? Captain Price, request permission to take the safe 

house with Roach” said ghost with hope in his voice. Price agrees and tells shepherd he is 

taking the boneyard with soap. Shepherd had a different plan but price seems to have already 

made up his mind. Shepherd added to finish the brief, “Very well. We will cut off all avenues 

of escape. This ends now.” Before the team left the room price quietly said, “Strange, I could 

have sworn we ended this war yesterday” shepherd scowled at price on his way out but 

price didn’t care. Ghost walked to Lisa's room to find she wasn’t there. A random army soldier 

walked past and said to ghost “this came for you from some guy” the soldier hands ghost a 

package. Ghost runs back to his room and opens it up to find it’s a note and a ring, Lisa's 

wedding ring. The note said “you think you and your men have ended this war? You were wrong, I 

will not be stopped and here is a heads up, you put trust into the wrong guy Mr riley. I have 

Lisa and she is nearly ready to pop out an infant for this world but are you man enough to 

get her from me before that happens? I’m somewhere in this world and there is Russian
