Chapter 14 - The end? Or not?

Roach calls for exfill at their current position. While price exits the sub, ghost 

felt like he was used and pinned price up, little did ghost know of prices history in 

the last war. Price broke free and told ghost to stand down. Ghost thought that he 

had no power over price so he listened and asked “why did you fire a nuke, and where 

did you program it to hit?” price told him to wait till they got back to base then 

everything will come clear to him, everyone thought the same, “he is going to get us 

killed” but the team had to listen to price. After waiting about 5 minutes Lisa 

turned up alongside jenny with sandman as rear door gunner. Lisa asked ghost “what 

happened” she saw everything and everyone but price. Price told the team to turn off 

all comms, which the team did, even ghost. Price then said what seemed like a riddle 

“remember when I said, got a pretty big fire, gonna need a huge bang? Well the 

Russians are in the US killing everything over there but what I launched will give 

the USMC a fighting chance because it wasn’t a nuke, but something like it” ghost 

left to see Lisa to check up on her, jenny asked Lisa if they wanted time alone but 

Lisa said no you can stay. After that Lisa burst out in anger at ghost. Price 

overheard and walked up to ghost and said “if this is a bad time I need you now” Lisa 

told ghost to go but jenny knew what was up and ran to ghost, sandman took over the 

controls and flew towards the base as fast as he could. After about an hour in the air 

the team finally land. Lisa is in pain but refuses help from anyone but ghost. Price 

joins ghost as they run to Lisa's room. First thing ghost can see when entering the 

room was blood everywhere, all over Lisa and all over the bed and floor. Ghost asks 

Lisa “what happened?!” Lisa shouts I cut myself badly. Price shouts for a medic and 

removes all blades from the area. Ghost put pressure on all her wounds. Lisa faints in 

ghosts arms and after a while started to turn pale white. Medics turned up and took 

her to the med bay. Ghost thought he had been in something like this but it was him 

that was at hospital not Lisa. Price looked up on the status of his missile that he 

launched from the Russian sub during the contingency mission. It was on course for 

Washington D.C. ghost reported to the control room to find price and he saw 

onscreen the missiles path and a prompt saying, “remote detonate, confirm or deny” 

price was ready to press the confirm option but needed eyes on, after waiting 5 minutes 

an army officer runs into the room and shouts “the missile is above Washington” 

with that price hit the remote detonate button. Ghost was about to stop him but 

then there was radio silence from the field units. It wasn’t a nuke but an EMP missile 

bound for Washington to knock out the entire enemy Technology in the area, price 

knew that the Russians will be using lots of tech like helicopters, BTRs and red dot 

sights. After knowing price had ended the war he went to the bases pub and had a pint 

with soap, but ghost thought he will join them but questioned in his head, “how did 

that one thing end this war?” after a few pints ghost asked price, “how did you know 

that would work?” price didn’t answer but gave a look that said it all. Soap had way 

too many to drink and price told ghost to help him carry soap back to his bed, ghost 

asked again but price said “you have to trust me Simon” with that ghost shut up and 

was confused on how price knew his name. After helping price take soap home he got a 

phone call from Lisa, she was in a state of pure panic from the baby. Ghost ran to her 

faster than he had run before to find that she was ok, and calm. Ghost looked around 

and saw what he thought he would never see again, the man in the black suit and 

sunglasses.
