Chapter 8. Busted

Colby looks at me uneasily, obviously not comfortable. She closes her eyes. He walks over to her and whispers in her ear "It won't hurt as bad if you're relaxed. You may even like it. I know I do." Her heart beat slows down enough as she relaxes. I take a deep breathe and get her scent. It's intoxicating. I feel my eyes change color and my fangs grow again. I go in. Her blood is even better than her smell. She relaxes even more. She's surprised at first, but Kate calms down after a second and actually enjoys it. Her blood starts to pump with a fresh taste of pleasure. Her heartbeat is declining too fast so I pull out with less difficulty than with Colby. How does that work?? Maybe he just taste better, or maybe it's something else... She passes out and I set her in one of the spare bedrooms. Time to have a chat with Colby while she's out.
"So what are going to do with her? She's not gonna want to leave, but we can't have her here all the time or her family will call the police." "Well, she could stay in the family tree house some nights and stay home others."
"That actually might work. Okay, we'll do that. Let's take her there before she wakes."
We pick her up and carry her. When she wakes up, she's in the bed I pretend to sleep in. I look at her and say
"You will never say anything about this to anyone."
She gives me a dirty look like you little twit. You figured out my plan. But she doesn't say anything. We leave quickly. As we leave, she whips out her phone texting someone. Average teens right?

                            Kate's POV
This is totally nuts!!!!! I can't stay stuck to this woman my whole life! That's it! I'm moving back to the city! At least there, I was never bit by a VAMPIRE!!! I have to find a way out of this! She said that I can't say anything. She never said I couldn't text. As she's leaving I whip out my phone and text her mother. I got her number while jogging a few times. Maybe if I say something, she will leave and not only will she move, but she will also leave that hottie that stays around all the time. I pull up Mrs. Bailey's phone number. I text:
Hey. She responds
What's up?
We have a problem
Why?
Your daughter is a vampire and she bit me and locked me up in a tree house. I want to leave but I can't and I am under her control for the rest of my life.
Now why would you make up a lie like that?
I wouldn't but she said I couldn't say anything. She never said I couldn't text. I love loop holes now.
I'll talk to her.
Please don't tell her I said anything. She has the strength and ability to kill me. I don't want to die!
I won't say anything.
