I'm watching Dallon cradle Kate, and a smell pulls at my attention as my eyes change color. Colby's missing, but I can smell his blood. He's still in the house, but there's a lot of blood. Why must he torture me so?!? He's in the bathroom. I hear him put a piece of metal down. He's cut himself. I get up, obviously furious. Dallon looks up in concern.
"You can't live with a vampire and think they're not going to know when you cut yourself."
I'm in the bathroom in a flash, but the scent is so much stronger, it's like fighting a rabid bear to keep from going into a frenzy.
"What the hell?!?"
"Kate wasn't feeding you, and you wouldn't feed from me. I've been telling her since before Dallon showed up. His blood didn't satisfy you. You know that. So I'm forcing you."
I take him by the not bloody wrist and sling him over my shoulders. We're in our bedroom before he can even blink. I throw him on the bed and pin his arms down. I lick his wrist to heal the wound, but then I'm right back staring him in the eyes. I slump my shoulders and get off him. He sits beside me, looking on in concern, still somewhat unhappy about being unsuccessful. He leans over and kisses me. And again, but more urgent. He licks my lip asking for permission to enter. I climb in his lap kissing him with much more passion and urgency. It seems he hid the blade because he pulls it out and makes a small cut on his neck. This drives me over board, and I latch my teeth into him. After a bit, we head back into the living room, Colby looking like he is about to pass out. Dallon is asleep with Kate on his chest right where we left them. He stirs and smirks at us. "Is he okay? He looks like he's been on some kind of drugs."If it was possible, I think Colby would throw a pillow at him. He just glares at his brother.

"At least put a shirt on."

I roll my eyes. Beside him, Kate begins to stir. She seems shocked at first that he's looking at her, but calms down once she realizes his arm is around her. Instead she sits upright and rests the back of her head on his shoulder, smiling. Colby just glares at her in annoyance, and she sticks her tongue out at him, to which I stifle a small laugh.
Colby, please try not to forget that she's still a child, and that her mental state is only getting worse. I'm hoping your brother can keep her from going full savage. She's now our child, and our problem.
He answers back
Well if I'm her father, doesn't that mean I can blister her ass when she misbehaves?
Wtf did she do?
Like I said she's getting worse. What did she do to begin with?
She refused to feed you to begin with. Thus putting you and everyone here at risk. What would I do without you? What would happen to your conscience if you killed me or my brother? You'd probably stake yourself, wouldn't you?
I see his point. But I hate to punish her. I look to Dallon.
"You hurt her or let her get hurt, and I will kill you. That's not an order, nor is it a threat. It's a promise. Understand?"
He just nods his head. She looks at him sneakily and plants a quick kiss on his cheek, turning him bright pink. How's that for a couple of crazy kids?
