"Alright. I'll break it to him gently when he gets settled in. I'll try to be extremely careful."
"Okay. Just remember, he can't leave. That's not an option anymore. Bite him if you must, but try not to make him uncomfortable."
"I'll try."
Dallon comes in at that moment and ask what we were talking about.
"Dallon, we really need to talk. Since you'll be staying here, there are a few things that you need to know, because discretion in our own home is not going to happen. Follow me back to the bedroom."
I walk to his room and tell him to close the door.
"Dallon, let me let you in on a little secret of mine. I'm not human. I'm a vampiric hybrid. And you can't leave. I'm awfully sorry about that."
His eyes get huge. He looks between me and the door. You can see it in his face. He's thinking screw this! I'm outta here! He runs from the room, screaming. I roll my eyes and get up to chase him. No sooner had I made it out the door than I see Colby tying his brother up. Son of a gun. He is perfect in every way. I walk up and give Colby a kiss on the cheek. Dallon says to his brother

"Dude, get away from her! She's a vampire!"

He looks at me with this really cute smile and says
"I take it the talk didn't go too well. "
I shake my head no then think to him now what? He thinks back our only choice is for you to bite him. I hate to say it, but it's true. I try to avoid it, but I know he's right. It's our only option. Dallon is looking between the two of us puzzled. Then realization strikes him.
"You knew this whole time and you still hang out with her?! What is wrong with you?!?"
Now Colby's ticked.
"Nothing's wrong with me! Something's wrong with you if you want to doubt the undeniable love I have for this girl, human or not. Yea, I miss my brothers, yea I miss my dad, but my love for her is unconditional. I wouldn't trade being by her side for the world."
I pull up a chair and untie him, only to pin his arms behind his back long enough for Colby to put him down and tie him up. I bend his neck against his will and go in slowly. I sink my fangs into him as the familiar taste flows over my tongue and my eyes change. When I pull out, he's scared out of his head and gasping for air. He falls asleep in the chair. I feel bad for him. He is gonna have one heck of a crick in his neck when he wakes up. I untie him and together we carry him back to his room and wait for him to wake up.
