Dressed in all black, 9 hybrids and myself, including Andrew, Ethan, Kate,Colby, Dallon, and Scarlett set out to save our brothers and sisters. The others stayed behind to guard the camp. We run quickly and silently, whispers of the wind being the only sound heard. As we reach the outside of the village, I have Dallon scout out the area from the tree tops, forming a plan based on his sightings. The area is being patrolled by 10 guards, 2 on the perimeter, 2 in village square, and 4 surrounding a hut in the exact center. Dallon and Kate will take the two on the perimeter, Andrew and Alexander will take the two in the square, Colby, Julian, Willow, and Ethan will take the four around the hut, while me and Scarlett infiltrate the hut and rescue the six prisoners. Everyone is clear on the plan. First Dallon and Kate take off in opposite directions, almost inaudible to anyone. They return a few moments later to confirm that the guards had been taken out, and overtake the guards positions. Andrew and Alexander are next, repeating the actions of the couple before them. Next it's our turn. Scarlett and I take our positions on the roof of the hut while Colby, Julian, Willow, and Ethan knock the crap out of the guards, and instead guarding the hut while Scarlett and I sneak in. There are surprise guards inside, and I call Willow and Colby for back up. They are easily disposed of, and we find the missing hybrids. I throw the duffel down and hand Scarlett a knife, taking my own out of my pocket. The campers are tied to individual poles and gagged. We wake them silently and cut the ropes, directing them to change quickly as the ropes and gags fall to the floor. I have no doubt that our presence will soon be discovered. I hear Julian and Ethan outside stalling Ella. She's commented on the fact that all of her guards are missing, Ethan and Julian are outside their curfew, and that they are not supposed to be near the prisoner hut. Our hearts are all racing as the panic sets in. I guess we're going to have to fight our way out. She knows and is trying to toy with the boys' paranoia. We all come charging out of the hut, Scarlett hitting her hard with the large duffel bag of other clothes. She's knocked sideways, and by the time she picks herself up off of the floor, we are gone into the night without a trace. She tries to chase us by tracking our scents, but all of us take different directions coming home and occasionally crossing paths. Everyone gets back to base unharmed. Our scouts inform me that she is right outside. I come to observe, and she is undoubtedly standing just outside the barrier, searching into the seemingly empty space. We watch as her nose twitches trying to understand why our scents all disappear at once in the same place. She tries to enter the barrier and jumps back in pain as the force field burns her skin. The force field then lights up an brightominous blue, illuminating the pitch black forest around us. We watch as her face turns to one of utter hatred just before she runs off into the night, clearly disturbed at her defeat.

Luke begins to worry about his brother being back at the village until I calm him down. I bring Luke to the Males' sleeping quarters where he finds an unconscious Oliver, and gently caresses his check in brotherly love. I can see the determination in his face as he turns to leave. He and I have a singular common goal: to protect the ones we love. He seems so strong in the parental role for Oliver, which makes me wonder. Where's their parents? He seems so protective. I get butterflies in my stomach, but I ignore it. I just respect him. I don't think too much about it because I'm happy with my relationship right now, and that's what matters.

I assign everyone to their rooms, having 3 bunk beds in each room with a drawer on the bottom of each bed and a room safe. The sleeping quarters are basically just really big cabins. Colby, Kate, Dallon, and I stay at the original house. Luke, Ethan, Andrew, Oliver, Alexander, and Julian are in Red Cabin. Scarlett, Harper, Willow, Jade, Natalia, and Josephine are in Blue Cabin. Chase, Adam, Parker, and Gavin have Orange Cabin, while Olvia, Ava, Sophia, and Emily have Purple Cabin. Red Cabin are the pack hunters while Purple Cabin are the pack Healers. Blue Cabin are the female combat trainers while Orange Cabin are the male combat trainers. Willow, Jade, and Josephine teach magic. Adam, Gavin, and Parker gather edible plants in their spare time

I call for lights out, but I don't think anyone is able to fall asleep until the wee hours of morning. I'm still awake at first light, so I go check on the campers. Opening each cabin door just a crack, I find everyone asleep, weather their rest is deep or not. I head back to my own bed and finally begin to doze off myself.

A/n: I know this chapter is shorter than normal and it took longer to post. The last few days have been crazy with my parents fighting all the time. My apologies.
