Chapter Nineteen ~ Surprise
A few months later…
Ginny Weasley was sitting across the street from where her very first assignment awaited her. At the moment, she felt sorrow and pity for the woman even though said woman was the cause of many horrible, many terrible things.
Remorse…how can I feel this way? This woman, she deserves this more than anyone I have ever known, maybe not Tom Riddle, but more than any other victim. It’s quite simple actually. She deserves it; she deserves what’s coming to her and that is why I am here, Ginny thought as she stared up at the very small window of the very high up office building. Ginny bit her lip as she watched the window. She looked at her watch, sighed and closed her eyes. When she opened them, she was sitting on the ledge outside the window she had been watching. She stretched then smiled at her accuracy and looked inside the window.
Ginny bit her tongue to keep herself from crying out. The woman had her back to Ginny. Her long, black hair cascaded down her back; her black dress skin tight. Ginny could see a young girl kneeling before the woman and when she looked hard enough, she could see the girl’s tears falling to the blood red carpet at the woman’s feet. She grabbed the girl’s brown hair and tugged roughly. The girl cried out.
Ginny couldn’t hear anything over the pumping of her heart in her ear.
Anger poured through Ginny’s veins as she saw the woman scratch something into the young girl’s arm. And when Ginny looked closely, she saw “Mudblood” etched into her skin, blood oozing out. Tears sped down the girl’s cheeks.
Ginny’s blood began to boil as she heard the woman’s acidic laugh over the young girl’s pain.
“I need to relax, I need to relax,” Ginny whispered to herself.
So she hummed her favorite tune which sounded bittersweet to the naked ear and told a tale of vengeance and pain but ironically but with the most beautiful hint of love. It sailed through the wind.
Ginny saw the woman stiffen and a bitter smile spread on her face. The woman slowly turned around, her soulless black eyes widening in surprise as she noticed Ginny sitting on the ledge of her window. Ginny smirked as she pushed open the window.
“Run, little bird,” Ginny whispered to the young girl whose eyes were closed as she lifted her wand, preparing to mutter the infamous killing curse.
She whispered it and her aim was impeccable; Ginny watched as her lifeless body fell to the floor. Payback for when the woman had almost killed her in the Final Battle. Molly had jumped in and fought her but the woman had faked her death, planning on finding some way to resurrect the Dark Lord once again. But now, she couldn’t have faked her own death. Ginny got her this time. And just like that, Ginny’s profession became that of a hit-witch by the name of Red and her first kill known as Bellatrix Lestrange.
~.~.~
Soft music played in the background of Ginny’s apartment as she made herself a quick lunch. She was making a sandwich with turkey and cheese; Butterbeer was already on her table waiting for her to sit down and get comfortable. Ginny finished making her sandwich and sat the table. As she ate it, she thought about the last few months of her life since she had taken that silver folder. Kingsley had been right about one thing, this opportunity had changed her life. She had accepted the new opportunity, took the job and found out something that completely blew her mind.
