Chapter Thirty - Two ~ Disown Me
It seemed like the world was over; well, Ginny's world at least. She laid in her bed staring up at the ceiling, both hands resting lightly on her baby bump. It's been months; months since Draco had walked out of her life.
She'd tried time after time to speak to him, to just see him. She missed him terribly but he wouldn't see her.
It hurt, Merlin, it hurt so damn bad.
She finally understood why he always hated it when she avoided him. Now, he was avoiding her and it was killing her.
She was lonely, so lonely.
She closed her eyes as a new onslaught of tears came, streaming down her cheeks. She didn't move to wipe them away. She kept both of her hands on her baby bump. Five months had passed, she was about six or seven months and her bump was getting pretty big but she could still hide it under loose and baggy clothing and luckily she hadn't had any assignments from Kingsley in months.
She sighed as she wondered what Draco would say if he knew he would be a father in soon. She bit her lip and decided that maybe she should owl him the news. He deserved to know.
With that thought, she sat up in bed and Accio-ed herself a parchment, ink and a quill. She stared down at the blank parchment and almost cried all over again.
"Bloody hormones," she complained as she dabbed the quill in the ink then began to write. After scribbling a few things down, she decided it was good enough. She read over one more time. It said:
Draco,
I know you must hate me now. I also now know what you meant all those times when you said you hated it when I avoided you.
It's horrible.
I'm lonely without you but I know why you won't talk to me or see me. But you have to understand that it wasn't what you thought.
I would never choose him over you. I need you. Please, please just come around.
If not for me...then for the baby that we'll be having together in a few months.
Love,
Ginny
She nodded to herself, even though she didn't think that was the best way to tell him he was going to be a father. But it had to do.
He wouldn't see her let alone speak to her.
This letter just had to work.
Ginny wanted to blink it to his apartment but she wasn't certain if he was there or not so she decided that to owl it would be the best.
She got out of bed and pulled on a pair of loose pants and Ron's old Chudley Cannons jersey. As she magically slipped on a pair of shoes, she looked around her apartment.
"Artemis," she called out when she didn't see the cat.
The gray cat came running over to her, rubbing against her legs. Ginny smiled as she sat on the couch, Artemis jumped up and Ginny began to pet her.
Artemis purred, and then meowed at her.
"I miss him too," Ginny whispered to her and decided that this letter was her best chance. It had to work. She stood from the couch and made her way to the door. She pulled on a cloak, stepped outside, muttered the incantations for the protective wards and walked down, more like wobbled, to WWW where she could borrow one of the owls that George sends orders out with.
