We...there was never an us
Just the separate
you and me.
When did we start to care
for this nonsense?
When did we start to feel
and lose the numbness?
When did we start saving
the shattered pieces of "us"?
But I can say now,
that this is not nonsense.
What we have is real
and special.
Us, the little pieces
that were made to be whole.
That "we" are worth saving.

A/N: Omg. Okay I know the title is kind of weird and inappropriate for this poem XD But it has a nice ring to it, doesn't it? Orrrr is it just me...? I somehow found an explanation for the title. So why "Lick of Heaven?" There's such thing as salvation which means fullness of life and happiness anded also from the word, saving. So yeah, the last line "That 'we' are worth saving"... soooo I named it Lick of Heaven. XDXD hehehe
