Chapter 38 <3~ It's all over the news..

*Ruri's POV*

I walked into Shining's office as he had summoned me. I wonder what's this meeting about? A promotion? Or maybe me and my boys are going on a world trip? Hmm that would be nice actually. Some alone time with four of my princes.

I reached the base of his desk and waited for him to say something. He looked awfully serious today for some reason. Shining's eyes bored into mine as he said something I couldn't believe.

"It came to my concern that Quartet Night couldn't work under the same circumstances as you."

My mouth dropped open and started stuttering. "Wh-what are yo-you talking about?" With more force than I intended, i snapped at him. "They're all doing well and fine!"

Shining held up a controller and pressed a button. A television emerged from the ceiling and it was on a channel. It was the news, about the bizarre and heart-pumping event that occurred in STARISH concert today earlier on.

News: it seemed like Quartet Night have finally found their true love. They all had made a grand and surprised entrance in STARISH concert. No one knew about their presence until they came out. To confess their undying love for their girls. Look who we have here, Ranmaru and his current girlfriend. What's your name? *points microphone at Miyu*

Miyu: *shyly waves at the camera* M-Miyu..

News: such a cute girl. What do you have to say for yourself, Ranmaru? For today sudden occurrence.

Ranmaru: *smirked proudly* this is what we were aiming from the start. A way to spread our relationship and it seemed like all our fans accepted and supported us. Hopefully our entertainment CEO, Shining, would accept it as well and allows us to keep our jobs and girlfriends. I have no intention of leaving her. *looks at Miyu and press a kiss on her forehead*

News: *smiles and looks into the camera* There you have it. Ranmaru from Quartet Night and his girlfriend, Miyu.

Shining pressed the mute button as the news continued showing the other couples. He looked pleased with the boys. Me, on the other hand, was having a panic attack. Why wasn't I being informed of this...surprise?!!

"I-I..." No words came out even though my brain was filled with many curses. In all types of language.

Shining waved a dismissal hand at me. "You are now relieved of your job. These girls will continue in your place."

I pointed a finger at him. "But.. You can't do that! They still need me!!"

A gleam appeared in Shining's eyes and he softly placed a handphone on his table. I quickly grabbed it and read the messages.

From: Camus

To: Shining CEO

I apologised in advance for our rash decisions. We really need to be with the girls even if it cost us our job. Three months was wasted before we knew it. Please let us keep our jobs and girlfriends. But if you think it is unacceptable, I will bring in our resignation forms tomorrow.

Btw, if we are still allowed to keep our job, I hoped we can remove Ruri from being our manager. She was the cause of everything. Once again, I deeply apologised.

My hands were shaking terribly in anger when I finished reading it. They... Fired me?

Shining leaned back in his chair, making himself comfortable. "For the past three months, I had observed Quartet Night under your supervision. And now I'm positively sure they need the girls as much as they breathe. So now, I'm going to remove our no dating policy and grant freedom to all my idols. As long as they keep up their good works, everything is fine."

He extended a hand at me and smiled apologetically, "It was nice having you."

I slapped his hand away and glared coldly at him. "I don't need your sympathy. You freak."

Before turning my back at Shining, I threw his phone at him and walked away without another word. With the anger and fury bubbling inside of me, I slammed the doors loudly in a way to express it. The doors rattled.

Can't believe I just got fired. Because of some bitches... I thought as I stormed off angrily to my room, pushing aside anyone in my way.

*Shining's POV*

She does have a bad temper. OH WELL, what's done is done.

NOW WE CAN GO CELEBRATE....SOMETHING. I DONT CARE WHAT!!
