Chapter 28~ Do you love Ai?
*No one's POV*
After Quartet Night exited Shining's office, they parted ways. Ai wanted to apologize to Mei for getting her expelled so he went to the girl's dorm, to her shared room. He stopped outside her room and leaned one ear on her door.
"I freaking hate Quartet Night!!" Her words stabbed into Ai's heart painfully.
After hearing that, he turned on his heels and started walking away. Because of him, she got expelled.
How can he make it up to her?
He went into Quartet Night's dorm and into his own room. Closed the door behind him and fell face first on his bed. Tears appearing at the corner of his eyes as Mei's voice echoed in his ears.
"I freaking hate Quartet Night!!"
Ai squeezed his eyes tightly as tears ran down his face. 'I didn't mean for this to happen. Mei.. I'm sorry..' He thought.
His head hurts. His body feels numb. His eyes felt swollen. But above all... His heart aches.
The worse thing is, he doesn't even know why he feels like this. What is this feeling?
He hugged his pillow tighter and his eyelids grew heavier. Before he slip into a deep sleep, Ai unconsciously whispered.
"Mei... Please don't hate me.."
*Mei's POV*
"I freaking hate Quartet Night."
After I said that, Kazumi and I heard footsteps echoing down the hall. We didn't bother going to the door to see who heard us. Both of us knew that it must be one of Quartet Night members.
"Mei."
I hummed in response and looked up at her. She loked straight into my eyes and hesitantly asked, "D-Do you love Ai?"
Frozen in my spot, I managed to stutter, "Of cou-course not!! Why d-do you ask?" Kazumi sat on the edge of her bed and I put down my clothes that I was folding and sat beside her.
"Because..."
I loat her expectantly. She has her eyes squeezed shut and her fingers balled up into fist.
"Because I think that... I Love Reiji!!"
