CHAPTER 5 & 6

Chapter 5~ Ruri's Assignment

Immediately after Hyuga-sensei dismissed them, Reina is the first one to run out of class.

"Ah! Wait, Reina-san!" Miyu called as she ran after her friend. Miyu turned at the corner which she last saw Reina but she already disappeared. Her friends stood behind her and Miyu turned to face them.

"I don't know why, but I think something is wrong with that girl." Kiyoki frowned as she slung an arm over Kazumi's shoulder. Kazumi did the same to her and nodded.

"Whatever. Let's go grab something to eat before we go find Quartet Night!" Kazumi grinned and walked off with Kiyoki. Mei stuck her foot out and laughed/snorted loudly when the older two tripped and almost fell on each other.

Miyu looked back to where Reina had disappeared from. Sighing, she shook her head and raced after her friends, laughing together with Mei.

In the cafeteria

All the girls were seated and eating in the cafeteria. The only one that wasn't eating was Kiyoki.

"Why didn't you get anything, Kiyoki?" Mei asked, stuffing herself with sweets.

"I'm on a diet," Kiyoki answered. She took a sip of her plain water as Miyu gaped at her.

"I don't understand how you can diet; I'd die without sweets."

"Girls your age shouldn't diet. It's not good for your health." Camus's deep voice complained. Quartet Night appeared behind the girls so sudden, they surprised Miyu and she accidentally choked on her waffle. Kazumi patted her back and handed her a glass of water which she quickly gulped down in one go.

Ignoring this, Ai continued, "It'll do us no good if you get sick in the middle of an assignment."

"Hey!" Miyu wiped her saliva which was dripping from her chin and glared at them. "Someone almost died here!"

Ranmaru scoffed mockingly and looked down at her, "Little girl, if you can't handle surprises, then you can't handle stress."

Miyu rolled her eyes at him and turned away. "You overgrown man, you don't even make sense." Miyu noticed Reina entering the cafeteria and without thinking, she stood up and pushed Ai away lightly.

"Reina-san!" Miyu called out as she ran towards her roommate. She pulled the surprised girl back to the table.

"Since you already know us, why don't you all introduce yourselves?" Camus said as Reina and Miyu approached them. He pointed at Kiyoki. "Starting with you."

"Um, I'm Kiyoki Satomi, the leader of our group."

"Oh? To think the leader is showing a bad example on dieting. I wonder what will the group become in the future with this kind of leader?" Ranmaru shook his head dramatically as his voice echoed down the cafeteria. "NO HOPE!!"

Kiyoki bowed her head repeatedly and squeaked, "Um, er, I won't diet anymore. I'll be a better example in the future!! Please forgive me!"

"I'm Kazumi Miyuki. It's nice to meet you." Kazumi stood and bowed ninety degrees. Miyu and Mei both stifled their laughter at Kazumi's formal behavior.

Miyu realized it was her turn and found that everyone was looking at her expectantly. She blushed, looked down at her feet and said timidly, "Hi, I'm Miyu Kazue. Pleased to meet you."

'What is this sudden change of personality? Who is she talking to anyway? The floor?' Ranmaru thought to himself after Miyu's introduction.
