CHAPTER 10

Chapter 10~ Ai Mikaze's Flashback

In the Quartet Night's dorm

Ranmaru and Camus thought that Ai was reading but actually... He was thinking; thinking back to that time when he first saw her...

^Flashback^

Ai was taking a stroll around the park, and of course, he wore disguises. He had his head down and suddenly he heard laughters.

He looked up to see a group of friends sitting on the bench laughing with each other. It must be good to laugh like that. They hit each other playfully and throw bread crumbs at each other.

Their laughters were warm and genuinely happy. And it made Ai's heart felt warm and light. He doesn't know what this feeling is....

Ai didn't mean to eavesdrop on them but when he walked pass, he heard one of the girls worriedly asked her friend. "Mei-chan, didn't you get rejected earlier just now?"

The girl -'Mei-chan'- smiled brightly and threw crumbs of bread into the lake for the swans. "Yup, but I'm fine. I have already been rejected 4 times in a row. Besides, after all those rejections, I'm starting to think that all men are jerks who only wants girls with nice sexy body and all."

Hmm.... That might and can be true... Ai nodded at his thought.

Wait, did she said rejected 4 times?!! Wow. His eyes widened at the thought.

Most girls after been rejected will definitely cry or lock themselves in their room, not wanting to come out for weeks or months. Avoiding breakfast, lunch and dinner. You know the typical break up situation.

But instead, she actually came out to have fun with her friends in the park. Wow the guys must be an idiot to not accept her confession. Idiots...

Even though she's a stranger to him, Ai sincerely pray for her to find a good guy. Someone that would not cheat on her and treat her well. Someone that would make her smile and laugh everyday. He's sure she would want that too.

^End of flashback^

Ai looked over his book to see what Ranmaru and Camus are doing. Both of them seemed to be in deep thoughts but Ai decided to go over to Ranmaru instead. "Ranamaru, what are you thinking?"

He turned to look at Ai. "Nothing."

"So... Do you think Shining will agree and let us comeback with their songs?" Ai asked, lowering his book so he can see him better. Camus didn't bothered to even answer.

"I hope so." Ranmaru smiled. Ai didn't know he can smile like that. Is he even aware of his smile? Ai popped up above of him, looking down on his face.

He seems surprised and pushed Ai's face away in disgust. "What?! And don't come so near. Its... weird."

"You're smiling."

"So?" He glared at Ai. "Is that an offence?"

"That's never happened for more than 3 seconds before. Something must have happened."

He rolled his eyes but his smile is still there, "Huh?!! Not like you never smiled before!"

Ai sat back on the bed and looked away. "What are you talking about?"

This is ridiculous...

He smirked and glanced up the ceiling, reminiscing the moment. "Remember the orphanage's concert?"

Ai refused to say a thing so he continued. "When we came back that day, you were smiling to yourself. Don't tell me you didn't! I can see perfectly well!"

Ai frowned, definitely not liking the idea he remembered that day. He didn't know Ranamaru is that observant. "You did too."

"I know." He admitted, almost shyly and buried his face in a pillow.

Looks like we have our own sweethearts. Ai smiled lightly.
