We walked for about 1 minute until we reached Jakes car. It was an average black car so I didn't really bother checking the make as I wasn't much into cars. I climber into the car and traveled shotgun.
As Jake started driving there was a relaxing silence and we both ended up listened to the radio.
My eyes widened as the song Stitches by Shawn Mendes began to play. I couldn't help myself to mime all the first verse. I just watched the corner of Jakes eye flicking back and forth to me then the road as I mimed.
However when the chorus started building up I couldn't stop myself from singing.
"Got a feeling that I'm going under, but I know that I'll make it out alive! If I quit calling you my lover, and move ooonnnn!"
As the chorus hit I blurted out the song, adding my own made up dance moves and smiling at my stupidity. I turned around and even Jake was smiling like a Cheshire Cat, I even think he was also humming along.
As the song came to the end, I could feel Jakes eyes looking at me, but there was no coldness in them, just something I couldn't register. I could feel my face heat up and redden and I quickly looked away to the window, a massive grin still on my face due to the song.
"So you like that song," Jake teased and chuckled.
My face reddened even more.
"Umm yeah, it's pretty catchy," I replied trying to act cool as if I didn't just sing, but I ended up bursting out into an awkward laugh. Jake just gave me a genuine smile back before his eyes went back to the road.
The radio played a few more songs and I tapped and hummed away to them. Until 15 minutes later we began to pull up in Jakes driveway. I checked my watch '11:36' my parents were probably asleep by now.
As Jake stopped the car, I looked at his features in the dark. The shadows made his jaw and cheek bones stand out. His pale blue eyes were a dark navy with white specks, they looked so mysterious. His dark brown hair had started to fall from his hair gel and was touching his forehead. He looked so wow. My eyes focused on his dark lips and I watched as they stretched to form smirk which made my eyes dart back to his face.
"Enjoying checking me out princess," Jake spoke. I just rolled my eyes.
"Anyway thanks for the lift." I said genuinely thankful, but mainly trying to change the topic.
"No problem Ella," he said boyishly smiling at me, his eyes still that mystical blue with. I was so unused to him saying my name it sounded like an enchantment.
"Bye," I croaked nervously, as I hopped out of his car towards my house.
As I reached my door I twisted to the doorknob only to discover I was locked out. Shit, I left my bag at Kate's house with all my important things, even my flipping phone was in it so I couldn't ring my parents right now. Ugh I wish I remembered because I was suppose to sleepover Kate's.
I defeatedly slumped myself next to my door. There was only one option left.
I ninja like jumped over my fence and landed into Jakes garden (and yes, I was too ninja to use the gate). I was right in front of his kitchen window but when looked up and I was directly under Jakes bedroom window.
