"Sensei!!" Naruto internally cringed at his student's loudness. Naruto let his eyes slid towards Akara who was bouncing around as they continued their remaining 1 hour journey towards suna. They have travelled and rested, and surprisingly, his team never asked for any sort of training. He had observed his team a little bit more carefully and realised they were still trying to understand and engrave the true meaning of whatever he has thrown at them during their training inside their little brains.
"Have you felt it?" Akara asked, more serious this time. Everyone had felt it but they were all concerned when their best of the best wasn't even fazed by it nor was he acting like he cared. It was a if he knew who that chakra signatures belongs to, which he does just so you know. Naruto just hummed his answer before sweeping his eyes to meet the gaze of everyone, then he focused his gaze on the road ahead.
Someone that has been approaching them at rapid speed has finally jumped from the trees and landed in front of Naruto, who had moved his body back a bit, leaving no space whatsoever in between his neck and the sword being pointed. Naruto's eyes was on the rest and he blinked once, telling them to shut their mouths, before turning his gaze back on the man.
"You," the man said, "you were the one who almost stole my wife." His statement was met by utter silence as they stared in shock and confusion. "Me?" Naruto asked, a little confused.
"Who else would it be?"
"I don't know. I'm only 12! They have a better chance at stealing your wife than me! They're at least a good year or two older than me." Naruto said nonchalantly while pointing to the rest of the ninjas present, acting like having a sword pressed to your throat was a common occurrence. To him, it was. Not only was it pressed to his throat, whatever action it followed always ends up to the same thing, pain and a lot of blood from a severed artery.
"... You act like having a sword pressed to your throat was an everyday occurrence." The man said, a little worried. Naruto held his gaze before a small broken smirk tugged at his lips. "It is." The man's shock gaze was finally broken by someone yelling at him to stop pointing his sword at random people.
"Kazekage-sama, hokage-sama, I apologise for his rude behaviour. Please continue on your journey. I'm assuming you are heading to Suna?" The female that just arrived asked and when she received a nod she clapped her hands together, once, in delight. "Great! I'm heading there too." She said as they all started walking, which caused everyone to look at her even more curiously as to why she -a princess- is going to Suna.
"Princess Koyomi, may I ask what business you have in Suna?" Gaara asked whilst looking at her and noticed that she suddenly sported a saddened gaze.
"I'm looking for someone," She said quietly and everyone waited for her to finish as they can sense she would continue eventually, "this someone... Is very special to me. I can't really tell this someone's gender as they had a girl's facial shape but still had short almost spiky hair." At that statement, most head turned to Naruto but the girl remained oblivious to the only person with spiky hair. Naruto just remained stoic as he listened to her speech. "He/ she saved me. That person almost died for me, already badly beaten but still getting a beating whilst protecting me and having the throat slit. I not sure if that person is still alive but I'm still gonna try and find my saviour. That person was just a child... But already so selfless, doesn't hate even though he or she was getting abused by their own village." Naruto raised an eyebrow... His blond hair is so flashy and obvious, and yet she still doesn't see him?
"What is your, uh, saviour's hair colour?" Tsunade asked.
"...I'm not sure... It was like red and blond and dirty blond. Almost like his hair got blood stained to it and then he was thrown around on the ground. You get what I'm saying?" Koyomi said.
"Then do you remember your saviour's name?"
"Na... Na something, I was trying to keep track of him but he had left Konoha and then disappeared."
"Um, does his name sound something like Naruto?" Temari asked, Naruto just raised his eyebrows. There's so many people with a Na-. Nara, Natsu, Nawaki, etc.
What gave them the conclusion it was him?... Oh yeah... Blond hair.
"Yes! Thats right! Then his name had this um... Whirl-"
"Uzumaki." Naruto added in his two cents, thinking she would recognise his voice but she didn't so much as turn around. "That's it! Naruto Uzumaki! Have you guys seen him?!"
"Yeah-"
"Really?! Where?" She interrupted Gaara as hope glistened in her eyes. Naruto's eye still twitched as he remembered the fact that she thought he looked like a female. "He is my best friend and he is my bodyguard. Right there." Gaara said pointing towards Naruto, causing Koyomi to swirl around so hard she almost tripped over her own feet. She eyed Naruto suspiciously. "You don't look like him though... Naruto-kun is a lot... How should I say this. Not as lean as you are."
"What can I say? Your poor saviour hasn't been eating so well." Naruto said. Koyomi gasped as she understood what the blonde meant. She strode over towards Naruto as they were just about another 5 minute walk to reach Suna gates, making everyone stop to wait for them. She eyed Naruto up and down again before she moved her face closer to have a closer inspection. Naruto moved back a little, uncomfortable at the princess's closeness. He had a feeling that she can see his pores. Kami ... I haven't washed my face! Naruto thought sarcastically and Kurama's booming laughter filled his head. "How can I trust that you are Naruto?" Naruto had to resist the urge to roll his eyes, especially at a princess. "I do not need you to trust me. I do not care who you believe me to be. It does not matter."
"It matters to me!" She exclaimed. Naruto sighed before tugging the collar of his long sleeve shirt who's sleeve is rolled to his elbows neatly. He tilted his head back to reveal a very faint but thick scar that runs across his neck, there was clearly more than one line that runs across his neck. How many times did he have to go through being slit in the throat?
