rain is my favorite antidote

I like the way the air tastes just before it rains.

The sweet smell of the spring flowers blooming in a nearby field.

How the whole world seems to turn green, at least for a split second.

then everything turns gray.

dark and misterious.

wet and soggy.

It reminds me of the days I spent longing after you.

Wasteing my life away.

How many times I'd wish you call,

Or how I'd long to see your face.

I know I could always lookat that old faded picture of you,

but I wanted to see you in person.

And I never did.

So I moved on,

and now I'm smelling the rain,

dancing, laughing, and having fun.

Always without you
