Beth POV

"What should we name her?" I asked Daryl. We've been going back and forth with baby names for my entire pregnancy. I suggested Esme for a girl, and Daryl said it sounds like the sound someone makes when they blow their nose. I laughed, thinking of that one line in My Girl 2 when Vada's father says the same thing to her stepmother.

"I got it!" I exclaimed. "Vada!"

"It's different," Daryl said, stroking his goatee as he thought about it. "I like it! Vada it is!"

Daryl POV

We found this new guy. Name is Chip and he's kinda nerdy. Kinda reminding me of the Governor's lapdog, Milton. Don't know what to make of him. Ever since Claudia, we've been extra careful of who we let in. When Beth had happily explained that he was someone she knew in high school, was a really nice guy and completely harmless, it set my mind at ease. Still, in the back of my mind the phrase 'it's always the quiet ones' came to mind. I got a wife and kid to protect.

Maggie POV

I didn't want to scare Beth and Daryl or start trouble, but Beth always had blinders when it came to Chip. Chip had permanently been friend-zoned by Beth, but one could only look to Chip and see he didn't feel the same. Everyone in school found him kinda creepy. Chip knows about Daryl and I fear he could have the potential of being a male version of Claudia.

Beth POV

I'm so glad I found Chip! He always reminded me of Sheldon! And I was kinda like Penny. So I guess that makes Daryl Leonard. A taller, hotter non-nerdy version of Leonard. Haha! I'm losing my mind! Seeing Chip again reminds me of the old world. The carefree days before the world went to hell in a handbag.
