A few weeks later, surprisingly, not much had happened. Well, besides me stressing out about when I was going to get the call if I was a finalist. It was only based on the multiple choice portion of the exam, so I knew I had a good chance. I hoped it'd be soon.
It was Sunday, so there was no school, but that didn't stop my studying. I had decided to get out of the house for a bit, so I went across the street to a little café to study. It was really nice and quiet, plus, I often needed coffee to keep me awake from long hours awake at night doing more studying. I had made friends with most of the store employees from being there so much.
I was highlighting in a textbook when I felt my stomach growl. I looked at my watch and sighed. It was lunchtime. I decided to head back to my apartment, so I packed up my things and said goodbye to the employees at the store.
I cocked my head at the cars in front of my apartment complex. They were foreign and very expensive, and a bunch of people were gawking at them. Fear struck my heart as I thought maybe it was the Host Club, but then thought, It couldn't be. I don't think they even know where we live!
I walked up the stairs to the second floor and knocked into someone. I started to apologize, "I'm so s-" When I looked up and saw who it was, I shrieked, "Kaoru? Hikaru? What are you doing here?"
Hikaru complained, "Ow, no need to yell."
Kaoru said, "Yeah, we just came to visit. We wanted to see your place, and you said you'd let us visit if Hikaru and I made up." I growled, remembering that.
Mori, Kyoya, and Honey came and joined us. "You're all here?" I wondered.
"Yes, Tamaki was the one who wanted to come, actually, but not alone, so I brought us all. I believe he's still inside your apartment with Haruhi," Kyoya answered, pushing his glasses up on his nose.
Honey jumped up and down excitedly, "Now, we're gonna go to the commoners' market to go shopping for lunch! Are you gonna come, Aza-chan?"
"Uh..." I trailed off when I saw my dad going into the apartment. He was dressed as Ranka, his feminine personality. I forgot he was returning home early from his job at the tranny bar. I didn't have a problem with how he dressed, but I wasn't too sure about the others.
I pushed through the guys and said, "Dad, wait!" He had already went in. I peeked inside the door and my jaw dropped. Tamaki was on top of Haruhi, and my dad was frozen in shock. Knowing Haruhi, it was probably just an accident, but I was still a little surprised.
"Welcome home, Dad," Haruhi greeted him like nothing was wrong. "So, Dad, how was work?"
He quickly walked in and I followed a few steps behind him. He grabbed Tamaki by his shirt and threw him against the wall with a loud crack. My eyes widened, and I gasped. Then, he answered, looking at us both, "I'm sorry. I hated leaving you two alone last night. You must have been lonely."
Haruhi said, sweating, "That sound... He hit really hard."
