~~Rata's POV~~

I knew what had happened between Rythian, Duncan and Zoey. The news spread like wild fire, and soon the whole kingdom wanted Duncan dead. I agreed. He tried to kill Rythian to get with his pregnant girlfriend. That's a new meaning of low, but Rythian remained his friend. It was a bit awkard at first, but soon, Duncan and Rythian fought the war side by side. Tara had come to the castle, and started painting the walls of her room to match her style. Purple.

"So, who's side are you on?" Tara asked whilst delicately painting the corners. I sat with her when she painted, to tell her if she missed anything and to get her tea.

"Oh, definetly Uncle Rythian's. You heard what Duncan tried to do, right?" I raised my left eyebrow, as I took another sip of my coffee. That's all the castle seemed to have, tea and coffee. Where was the water coming from? I smiled to myself as I thought of many humourous ways that Blackrock Castle found it's water.

"Can you just call him Rythian? Uncle Rythian doesn't sound right. But yeah, I'm on Rythian's side all the way." Tara stopped working and jumped off the ladder to take a bite of her jam sandwich.

"You know, as a kid, he always looked at Zoey funny. I looked at Zoey funny, as back then I didn't know she was a halfing. No one did, not even her Mum!" I chuckled. "I only found out after Rythian did, when she became his apprentice"

"But... How did her Mum not know... I mean.. They must've.... you know..." She asked awkwardly, pacing like I did when I was in an awkward or angry situation

"To this day, I don't understand. I just pop the question to the back of my mind."

"Right... Can you tell me some stories from when you were all kids?" She hopefully questioned, sitting down and smiling at me

"Fine... There is one, one awesome story from when we were kids." I say, leaning in so that people in the rooms surrounding ours don't hear. "Oh, and remember, we were about 10 when this took place, but Rythian was always the oldest and was about 12."

The sun was shining, and me, Rythian, Zoey, Duncan and a new kid named Ravs were hanging out in town. We were planning our future, and Ravs said he wanted to be with me for the rest of our lives. It never happened, of course, but it was sweet of him to say that. Duncan said that he would leave home and create his own technological empire, and then Rythian said that he would challenge him and a big war of magic vs science would errupt, and it would be awesome.

"Joking aside, I think I'll marry someone really close to me. Like, my best friend!" Rythian laughed

"What, like Rata?!" Duncan looked at him in a funny way

"No, like... A close friend to me. Maybe Zoey!" He pointed

"Ew, no! Gross! I would never marry you" Zoey knocked his hand away from her, and said "If anyone, I would marry Ravs. He seems nicest"

"So you wouldn't marry Rythian because then you'll be a princess?" Ravs added in confusion

"No! I wouldn't dream of such a thing! Even if I did marry Rythian, which I won't, then I would marry him because I loved him, which I don't. Just to make things sure, I don't love Rythian."

"Well, you're boring. Rata, who would you marry?" Duncan slid over to me

"Probably.... If I wasn't his sister, Rythian, but I am, so that's gross, so probably Duncan!" I laughed and hugged Duncan. He smiled and hugged me back.

"So no one wants me?" Rythian said sadly "It's okay, I'm sure I'll find someone. Someday. Somehow." He was always a dramatic child.

He then made a ball appear in his hand, a crystal one, and said "This magic ball contains the future! 1 dark matter to hear your future!" He laughed
