~~Rythian's POV~~
"Sjin is a wimp." Zoey smiles, rocking Anna backwards and forwards. Tara, who was sat on a chair in the far corner of the pink room, smiles and looks at me. I grumble, not agreeing, and walk towards Zoey. My little Anna is almost one, and Rata is ready to give birth. But with Sips hospitalized she won't stay away from the damn medical bay, and stays next to his side. All I need to do is get Duncan to show he'd protect Tara. I will not let Tara get hurt. Ever.
"Sjin isn't a wimp, wimp's don't attempt to kill their friends." I stare at the wall. I don't want to make eye contact with anyone.
"Please can we not talk about this?" Tara asks, obviosuly annoyed.
"Yeah, sorry." I phase back in to reality. "Shouldn't Anna be talking by now?" I ask Zoey. Why did I ask her, since when was the master of babies?
"I thought that. She has been mumbling a lot lately, and I tried to get her to say 'Mummy' or 'Daddy'." She coos in Anna's face, and the room darkens into a pink colour.
"Sorry. Just closing the curtains. Why did you get curtains that make the room pink?" Tara asks, her voice going higher.
"Well, I think it looks nice, and Rythian doesn't really care. Do you?" She looks at me with fire burning in her eyes, but in the happiest way possible.
"It's not that I don't care. I just don't show emotions." I smile and turn away. "You know that, Zoey."
"Do you ever show emotion?" Zoey inquires, looking around my room for a magic book.
"No, I don't show emotion. But I feel emotion, I'm telling you. Ask Rata. In fact, don't do that." I lie casually on the couch, smirking whenever Zoey gets close to the book but never finds it.
"Where is it?!" She turns, stressed.
"Oh, you mean this?" I teleport the book into my hand, and she marches forwards, grabbing it in a frustrated manor.
"Don't do that. I don't like it." She strops.
"Sorry. I find it hilarious." I add simply.
"Well, some of us aren't magical halfings, and can't teleport things from one place to another at the age of thirteen!" She sits next to me, and we stay in silence for a second.
"But you are. And you can, if you put your mind to it." I whisper, more to myself then to Zoey.
"Pardon?" She turns to look at me.
"Nothing, nothing at all." I slowly but surely come back to reality.
"Sjin wants to speak with you. At his Kingdom." Duncan's voice pipes up from the door, and I turn to see him.
"Okay, get my horse ready. I'll meet you downstairs in ten." I command, and turn back to Zoey. "Do you trust me?"
"Yes." She returns, but in a shaky, questioning way.
"Then don't worry. I'll be fine." I reply in a firm tone. "And don't worry, little Anna, Daddy will be fine." I say, a lot quieter and softer.
"Da-Daddy!" Anna exclaims.
"Oh my glob, did you hear that? She said Daddy! How adorable!" Tara squeals.
"Oh my, this is amazing!" Zoey adds.
I laugh, kiss Zoey quickly, and wave everyone off before anyone gets too sad.
"Okay, Sir, everything's ready. Shall we go?" Duncan says quickly, but I understand it all.
