It's been two days since I went to Jake's house, and he has barely spoken to me. I feel like I'm getting way to clingy to a guy that I just met.

When I got home it was empty, but I can't say I was actually surprised. Of course Mom and Dad wouldn't be home like they said they would.

In math I tried to get Jake's attention, but he just ignored me. I know I didn't say anything offensive, well. Maybe I did?

I just want to know the reason! I have a loud personality and I really don't like to be ignored because I deal with that enough at home.

I walk into math and sit down. Since I failed at getting Jake to speak to me yesterday, I've decided to just leave him be. So I was really shocked when he walked into class and finally spoke to me.

He slid in his desk and bent his head down. "Hey, Lacey."

I looked around me. Did he really just talk to me?! "Hey, Jake!" Wow, that was way too enthusiastic.

He chuckled and leaned his head in my direction. "How are you?"

"That's good." He leaned his head down again. "Listen. I'm sorry for ignoring you. I just... Didn't think you actually would want to talk to me." He blushed.

"Well, that's kind of the point to speak to someone." I said sarcastically.

I looked over at him to see his face still tinted pink. "Why would you think I didn't want to talk to you?"

He opened his mouth to answer when the teacher walked in and everyone quieted down. Great. I'll have to get the answer out of him later.

The bell rang for the end of class and Jake took off, bumping into stuff as he went.

I huffed out a big breathe of air. He really frustrated me sometimes.

I walked to my next class, that I just so happen to have with Ally, who is really good at getting information out of me.

I walked in and took my seat beside the window and tried to ignore her as she sat down in the desk beside me.

"Hey, what's up? See that cutie today?" She said.

"What? Um, yeah, but we didn't talk about anything important." I spoke quickly and turned back to the window so fast I probably almost broke my neck.

"Lacey. Lace!"

"Hmm? What?" I asked with my thoughts elsewhere.

"What's up with you?" She asked... Well demanded actually.

"Nothing. Just tired."

"Liar. Answer my question."

I turned to face her but didn't dare meet her eyes. "Promise, there's nothing wrong with me."

"Really, then why are you avoiding my eyes?"

"Because..... They are brighter than the sun??" I smiled sheepishly because I know I'm not getting away with this.

"Out with it."

"Okay. Okay. Ugh. Jake's been ignoring me and then today he apologized for it but when I asked why he was ignoring me he didn't answer and ran out really fast when the bell rang." I rambled.

"Why did he do that?" She asked.

"Really? If I knew that then why would I be saying that I don't know what happened?!"

"Oh." She looked down, embarrassed.

"We can just corner him until he explains."

"Ally, I'm not doing that to force him to talk to me."

"Why not? He'll finally give up some answers."

"Because if he doesn't want to talk to me, I'm not going to make him." I explained.

"Ugh. You're lame."

I rolled my eyes and was actually glad that the teacher decided to start class at that moment.

I really want to know what's up with him but not that bad to make him explain himself to me, especially if it's a valid reason.

Ugh, guys always have to be complicated. Girls are so easy to understand, but guys are just a big, messy spaghetti pile.

After a while of not paying attention, the bell rung. Finally. I got into my car and drove down the road to head home. Until I saw McDonald's and decided I could go for messy burger. I pulled in and entered the fast food restaurant. And guess who I see waiting in line. Jake and Tommy.
