School finally starts today and I'm so nervous. I am currently searching through my whole closet looking for something cute to wear. I finally just settle on tight black skinny jeans, with a white mesh shirt, and a blue tank top under it. For shoes I choose a really cute pair of brown boots that stops at my ankles. Happy with what I saw in the mirror I grabbed my bag and keys. I walked to the garage and got into my bright yellow bug.

Today is the first day of school! I'm so nervous yet excited. I'm really hoping I have classes with my friends. I haven't seen a lot of them over summer.

As I pulled up to the school parking lot I saw a bunch of my friends. We were excited to be back and Ally suggested that we all just start carpooling. She's a really short brunette who loves to party. We all agreed and I grabbed my book bag before heading inside.

While walking inside, I noticed everyone whispering. I looked around, wondering about the new piece of gossip going around.

I asked Jane what all the fuss was about.

"You haven't heard about the new kid that started today?" she asked.

"New kid? I haven't heard anything about him." How does everyone already know about a new kid when it's our first day back?

Crissy butts in. "She's right. He is a total hottie! His name is like Jake or Jack or something like that."

Jane nods. "It's Jake and he's over there by those lockers." She points to a guy with shaggy black hair and a really good-looking slim body.

I want to get a chance to see his face but the bell rings, signalling it's time for first period.

I sigh. I might have the chance to see him later.

After first period was over I met up with Crissy and Ally. They were both talking by the lockers.

When I walked up they both looked kinda frustrated. "What's up?" I asked.

Ally sighed. "Crissy thinks Jake is gay because all the girls in class kept trying to talk to him but he wouldn't even look at them."

That's stupid. How can you be mad at someone just because he didn't talk to anyone? "Maybe he is just shy? He is at a new school." I suggested.

Ally got excited. "Look! There he is!" She pointed to a hot guy walking down the hall with a teacher by his side. But as they got closer he looked more familiar.

It's the guy from the ice cream shop... he has someone walking with him because he's blind.
