It's been six years since that horrendous incident, and among the group was a pregnant woman, Kikuyu, now left without a husband to help raise her child or a safe home, or a home at all, for her unborn child. The child that might be able to save all of them by one reckless act, and the effects of it.
This child's name is Au........
Aoi's POV
Giggling, I crawled out of bed, creeping down the hallway in our small, 5 room, one-story house, I slowly peek into my mama's room. Seeing her sleeping figure, I slowly climb onto her bed and start to jump.
"MAMA!!! MAMA, TUME TO GET UP!!! YOWU PROWMOSED TOW TAKE ME SWUMMUNG TOWDAY!!!" I yell, enthusiastic. You see, it is banned to go swimming in our realm's water, or that's what mama said anyway, so we have to sneak into the human's realm to swim! This is the first time I get to go to the human's realm, I wonder if I'll meet a human? Mama says humans are dangerous and mean, but maybe there are some nice ones?
Hearing her groan, I keep bouncing, with my black hair flying everywhere. Turning to look at me, Mama smiles while bringing her small dainty hand up, and pushed a strand of my hair behind my ear.
"I'm up sweetie, now why don't you go get dressed and bring me the brush?" She whispered, smiling lovingly at me. Nodding, I jump off of the bed and took off running down to my room, quickly picking out a two piece swimming suit, which Mama said she found in the human's realm! It's silver, and really shinny, and this is the first time I get to wear it! Mama said that today is they day I become of age to change! Today I'm turning six! And when we get back we're going to have berries and something call chocolate!!!
Hurriedly, I jump around trying to put the suit on, finally getting it on, I turn around really really fast and Mr. Snuggles tripped me!
"Bad Mr. Snuggles! Ut my burthday! Yowu 'powsed to bee nuce!" I say madly, crossing my arms the best I could, pouting.
"Honey? Are you ok, I heard a thump!" I hear Mama yell, oops! Glaring at Mr. Snuggles, I whisper, "Aoi wown't tell Mama, but bee nuce next tume! Owk?" Before running out of my room to look for Mama, crashing into a wall I pout, "Aoi sowrry Mr. Wall," before getting up and running into the kitchen.
Seeing Mama worried, I run up to her and hug her legs, "down't wowrry Mama! Au fune, see!" I say pulling back and twirling.

Mama's (aka Kikuyu's) POV
Watching my little girl twirl, put a smile on my face, oh she's so adorable! But I need to teach her to say her i's and o's correctly and stop her from talking in third person... Oh Ching would be so proud of you, honey. Tearing up, I smile, oh how I miss Ching, he would've been a wonderful father, he was the perfect husband, and he adored children.... I wonder what he's doing now?

Holding Aoi's hand, I cautiously lead her out of our realm into the human's, seeing nothing but trees, I let out a single sigh of relief escape. Coming out of hiding, I pull Aoi over to the pond we would be swimming in. Crouching down in front of her, I make her look at me, "Aoi, don't swim where I can't see you ok?" I command seriously, watching as she nods in understanding, I hesitantly release her small, fragile hand.
I hope nothing goes wrong........

Aoi's POV
As soon as Mama let go of my hand, I took off running into the dark water, giggling, I start to splash around. A few minutes later, a small pang went through me, "huh?" I mumble curiously, "what was that?" Waiting, nothing happened so I brushed it off and continued to play, when out of nowhere pain erupted all over my body, gasping, I call out, "MAMA!!! It hurts mama! Help me!"
Crying, I hear mama shout something, but I couldn't hear anything, I couldn't see anything, what's wrong with me?
-You're fine, your body is just undergoing changes that allow you to change forms.
What? Whow are yowu? I ask in a shaky voice inside my head.
-I am Skylar, but you may call me Sky...
Are yowu a gurl or a bowy? I think curious, not noticing that I was in Mama's arms, on land, with her screaming my name.
-I am a boy😑.
I hear his voice say slightly annoyed, oowps, sowrry Sky.... Au dudn't mean tow upset yowu.. I say guiltily, nearly in tears, as I think that he might not like me anymore... Hearing a sigh, I sniffle.
-It's fine.....Blue.
Blue? I curiously ask, I know that's what my name is but why did he say that?
-That is your new nickname from me....
Really? That's sooooooooo cowowl! Thank yowu Sky...
-Your welcome Blue, now go back to your mom. I'll talk to you later...
Owkay! Bye-bye Sky!
"Hu mama! Aoi wants tow gow swummung agaun!" I shout struggling to get out of her strong arms, being crushed to her chest, my little lungs stopped working for a few seconds, leaving me winded.
"No, you aren't going back in there!" Mama scolded, while glaring at the water, as if it just tried to kill me...
"But mama! Sky saud Aoi cowuld! He saud that my bowdy just had tow undergow changes..." I whine, still trying to escape her iron like grip, I wish Mama would just let go....
"Au......who's Sky? No one is out there....." She said scared and slightly suspicious.
-Blue, tell her that I am your friend, act like I'm right beside you, and act like you can see me ok?
"Yes there us, he's rught here, can't yowu see hum? He's Aoi's furst fruend!" I say confused by Sky, and point right next to me, hoping Mama would buy it...
Realization shine on her face, as a smile broke out, "oh, my baby's first imaginary friend! I can still remember mine ya' know....."
What? Mama had someone like you Sky?
-No Blue, she means she made up a friend that no one but her could see, hear, or talk too, most kids have one....
Owh, sow Mama dudn't get tow have someowne luke yowu? That's sad.... Aoi rather have yowu....
-Really?
Yep! Yowu funner then them.....
-How can you be sure?
Because, yowu're Aoi's bestest fruend!!! Bye bye now, I gowing swummung.....
-bye Blue....

Finally escaping Mama, I take off running to the water. As soon as the water is covering my shoulders, a numbing feeling went through my legs, "Huh?"
Sky, why us ut dowung that?
-Your tail is coming in, just give it a minute Blue.
Owkay! Patiently waiting, I stand still, until my little feet give out on me, huh? Looking down, instead of my feet I see a fishy looking tail, turning I search for the fishy it belongs to, where dud ut gow?
-There's no fish, that's your tail, it's beautiful Blue...
Reawly? Thanks Sky! Looking down, I see a pretty silver/white tail that faded into an icy blue, the fin part was white with blue strips flowing through it, starting at an icy blue, before turning into a dark blue, "ut's beautuful!" I mumble, underwater, to myself.
Grinning, I start to swim in fast circles, unknowingly making a whirlpool. Seeing fish swirl by me, I stop and watch as random fish keep swirling round and around, making me dizzy and my eyes hurt.
Getting bored, I think of mama, widening my eyes I take off swimming to the surface as fast as I could go, which was pretty fast, causing my to go flying straight out of the water and five feet into the air, showing off my long tail, all the while yelling, "MAMA!!!! LOWOWK AT ME MAMA, AOI GOWT A TAUL!!!!" before plunging back into the cool, dark, water again. Not catching mama's shocked face.
