Caroline's POV
"Why do I have to come, Care?" Bonnie complained.
I rolled my eyes, ignoring her protests. I came upon Hayley's door. I knocked on it. She didnt answer, but she didnt answer. I knew she was in there.
I pushed opened the door and saw her propped on the bed. She narrowed her eyes on me. "Excuse me, this is my room!" She said, angry.
I smirked. "Thanks for obvious, but I didn't come to argue. I wanted to invite you with us on our little outing." I said, giving her the fakest smile I could muster.
She rolled her eyes. "I don't need pity, so just leave." She said, looking away.
"Look, we don't like each other. Simple as that, but Elena choose to see good in everyone. So until her Mother Theresa phase is over, you're included." I said, annoyed.
Bonnie pushed past me, leaving me in the doorway. "What Caroline is trying to say is that she offering the branch of peace. We are having a little get together and Rebekah is being invited, so it won't be too uncomfortable. We really would like for you to come. It beats staying in this dusty old house." Bonnie said.
Great! Put words in my mouth. I huffed and walked over. "Be the bigger person." I chanted over and over in my head.
"Look, I will try to be more cordial if you put in the effort." I said, looking at her.
She stared at me for moment, then sighed. "Help me up, will ya?" She asked annoyed. My eye twitched a little, but no retort. See! I can be nice. I gave her my hand, pulling her to her feet.
"I wonder how Elena is faring on her end." Bonnie mumbled.
"Probably not as well." I said, not envying her situation.
Elena's POV
Kol followed me all the way to Rebekah's room. I was about to knock, before Kol pushed past me and barged in her room. My eyes widen at his manners.
"Kol! What the hell?" I whispered yelled.
He flops on her bed, propping his head on his hand. He rubbed the bed, wiggling his eyes. "Want to join me?" He said, seductively.
I rolled my eyes. Do this boy ever take a break? At that moment, Rebekah comes out her bathroom, walking to her closet.
"Get the hell out. Both of you!" She said, distractedly.
Kol smacked his lips. "Nice to see you too." He said sarcastically.
"Rebekah, I wanted to invite you out with girls-
Kol coughed, giving me a pointed look.
"And boy for the day. We're going to have a slumber later." I said, leaning against the frame of the door.
"And why would I hang out with a backstabber like you? Do you have a dagger hidden somewhere?" She sneered.
I took a deep breath and continued. "Im not asking for your complete trust. We can build up to that if you're willing. I can sincerely apologize everyday, Rebekah, but you are the one holding yourself back. I want to show you the true depths of friendship. And I know if you give this a chance again, I promise to try not let you down. Despite the animosity, I really want you to come. We leave in thirty minutes." I said. I looked at Kol and Rebekah, before walking out.
