Chapter Six: Iris POV
I walked downstairs, ready to find Neil and take care of him. I found North playing with Christian on the Wii. His face was relaxed, and he was talking to him easily. The opposite of when I had ever seen him.
"Got you! Ha! Told you I was better," Christian stuck his tounge out at North.
North crossed his arms, "I just haven't warmed up yet."
Christian started laughing uncontrollably, "Yeah right! We've been playing for thirty minutes. Warm up is totally over!"
North scrunched his face up, pretending to think, "I'm still warming up. That round didn't count. This one does though. Ready. Set. Go!"
I stayed behind the door, where they couldn't see me and watched them race against each other on Mario-cart. My little brother would stick his tongue out and lean over, completely zoned in the game, while North pretended to try, but fail, to get in front of Christian.
"Ha!" Christian stood up, shaking his controller, "I win again!"
"Dang.." North sighed, "You think you could teach me to get better?"
Christian smiled, "Duh! Let's go again, watch me okay?"
Before they could start, I walked in.
"Hey. North, I was thinking we could try to get Neil today?" I asked him carefully. His playful mode was gone, and he looked at Christian.
"Yeah! Go kick butt. Don't get shot though, I hope you're better at this game than you are at Wii. 'Cause you suck at Wii!" Christian told North, going into another laughing fit.
North gave him a weak smile, and then nodded at me.
"You're wearing that?" he asked me.
I looked down at what I was wearing, ripped skinny jeans, short boots, a camo shirt. My hair was in braids with a bandanna over my head, and there was two black lines under my eyes.
"I'm getting into character," I asserted, jutting my chin out.
"Yeah well, I'm going for the casual assassin then. Let's go."
I held my hand out in front of him, stopping him.
"We need to match."
He looked me up and down once, "Uh, no."
"Not even the war paint?" I pleaded.
"Not even the war paint," he removed my hand from in front of him and walked out the door.
Fine. I was only trying to make this more fun.
When we got to the car North asked me if I knew where Neil was, and I shook my head. He glared at me.
"So, we're going on a wild goose chase?" I bit my lip, nodding.
He moaned and ran his hand through his hair mumbling, "Great plan."
"Well do you have any better ideas?" I asked him. His eyes stared at something past me as he thought about something.
"Yes. It's Friday. He's Neil," he stated as if I knew where he was going with this.
"And?" I answered.
"And that means he will be at a party on a Friday night," he explained.
"I don't know... We could get in trouble..." I started to back track.
On his face appeared his stupid smirk, "So? Are you afraid of a little trouble?"
"So, what if I am?" I countered.
