Hey there! I've decided to attempt an actual full sized fic omgee :3 The entire fic will be in Frank's POV, but the prologue is sort of third person Gerard. Okay, read on, my Badgers. Read on.

Gerard gazed out of the giant glass window, staring at every star he could find, reciting their names like his mother had made him practice when he was younger. She had told him that knowing the names of the stars would help him navigate his way home if he had ever gotten lost. Try again, Donna. Gee was still stuck out here after spending three and a half years of rendering those same old star names; over and over and over.

He leaned back in his chair, squirming around as his bare thighs chafed against the squeaky leather. The chair was a weird sort of blue-iridescent colour, and he still wasn't exactly sure how they managed to make leather that particular hue. Nevertheless, an ugly, shimmery, sqeaky chair was much better then no chair, and it was actually quite comfortable if you had sat in it for a while.

Three and a half years was a damn long time away from your family, and Gerard was past the 'freaking out' point. He had been through the terrified worries and scattered sobbing fits that came with every thought of his wife, and now he was left drifting slowly into insanity; losing touch of his life outside of space.

Gerard ran a hand through his messy mass of greasy, red-orange hair and sighed, starting over with the star naming as he had lost his place once again. He had gotten up to the m's, stopping at Meissa, before his thoughts were scattered by the screen up on the top left of the giant glass window as it had burst out into a loud beeping fit.

"Jesus." Gerard gasped, staring up at the tiny screen that had the Pink Station Zero logo flashing on and off, signalling an incoming transmission. His eyes widened.

This hadn't happened ever. Not in the entire time that Gerard was stuck out here. Not even once. No one knew where he was, and now, three and a half years later, someone had located the ship's signal.

He couldn't help but smile, an enormous grin stretching it's way across Gerard's face as he stated clearly and loudly, "Accept transmission."

The screen went blank, and Gerard had a half-second panic before a face popped up on the screen, smiling widely, relief spread all across the familiar face as he waved to Gerard, neither of them daring to say anything.

Gerard broke first, gazing at the floppy haired boy staring back at him, tears rolling down both of their faces already.

"Mikey." Gerard whispered, his voice choked by his own tears, laughter bursting out of the two brother's mouths as Mikey nodded vigorously, his hands covering up his mouth and his glasses sliding precariously down his nose.

"I found you!" Mikey squealed, his hand flying up to push his glasses back up on his face before he shook both hands wildly up in the air in excitement.

Gerard nodded back again, at a loss of words until he had remembered. He remembered the two people that he cared about most in his life, the two people he had missed so much on his three year abandonment. "How are Lyn-Z and Bandit? Can I see them?" He asked excitedly, needing to know how his wife and daughter had been.

Mikey's smile had faded almost immediately, his eyes never leaving Gerard's as his older brother shot him a glance of confusion. "Mikes?" Gee asked, fear resonating in the back of Gerard's throat. Had something horrible happened? Why weren't they with Mikey?
