LUKE

I was walking down the stairs when i heard Calum and my mother talking.

(italics Liz, bold Calum)

So has he given you the ring again yet?

no, i thought you had it?

oh no honey, i gave it to him maybe two days after he came back home

oh, that's weird. maybe he doesn't want to marry me anymore. maybe he hates me for not realizing he was missing sooner.

hey dont say that, Luke loves you.

i don't know liz, ever since he got back he spends most of his time alone. he wont touch me, barely wants to kiss me, he's acting very weird. we haven't even gone on any dates recently. maybe he doesn't love me anymore.

I love you calum, i think to myself. I need to do something to get him to stop doubting my love for him. I walk back upstairs quietly and call Jensen to the room. "Whats up Luke?" he asks. "Okay, you wanna make it up to me? for everything you did?" i ask and he nods his head rapidly. "Okay well thanks to you Calum gave the engagement ring back so, you are going to help me propose to him again. we are going to plan everything to perfection, and no one can know, not even my mom. got it?"

we brain storm a couple of ideas and try to plan everything out. Of course this is going to take some time to make sure everything is perfect so maybe in the mean time I should take him on a date like he said. 

*skip a couple of weeks*

as we finish finalizing all the details I shoo Jensen out of the room and call Calum, "yes Luke?" He says as he walks in through the door. I pat the space next to me on the bed and gesture for him to sit down, he sits down next to me and I give him a sweet kiss, " get ready love, I'm taking you out on a date!" I say as I give him another sweet kiss. His face brightened up as soon as those words left my lips, "Really?" he says giving me his puppy dog eyes that just make his eyes look even bigger. 

i kiss him again and he jumps off the bed and runs to the closet, "Wait where are we going?" he asks. i think for a moment, "Um, how about the amusement park?" i say. he pouts, "Lukey you know i don't like heights." he says shyly. "I know baby but i'll be there the whole time, i'll hold your hand, cuddle you on all the rides. But if you really don't want to go we won't." i say.

"No, no i'll go just let me change really quick. Wait here." he says as he rushes back to the closet and comes back out wearing black skinny jeans and a tight plain black shirt. Almost makes me not want to let the world see this beauty. "Ready." he says as he picks up his wallet and phone.

We get in the car and i hold his hand while we drive to the amusement park. We get there and as soon as he gets out of the car i can tell his nerves kicked in. "Babe are you sure you want to go in?" i ask again. he gulps, "Yes! i would follow you anywhere, to the end of the earth, and even hell." he says laughing at the last part. We share a few quick kisses before going in. 

This place is huge it has about 15 rides including Superman, batman, Goliath, raging bull and so on. (idk i named the rides at the six flags by me.) We get in line for the first ride, Superman. the line is pretty long and in the end we end up waiting around and hour for our turn. I somehow convinced Calum to ride front row with me. Since the ride is for four people in a row and we're the only two riders we get the row just to us. We sit in the middle seats and Calum practically squeezes the bar and holds his head back as far as he can, "How did you convince me to get on this, and in front row?" he asks. 

i grab his hand and give it a light squeeze, "Because you love me."i say as i kiss his knuckles. The roller coaster give the all clear signal and the ride takes off at great speed. Calum squeezed my hand harder than i thought possible. the ride goes higher and starts to slow down as it approaches the first drop and Calum shuts his eyes seconds before the ride takes the plunge. everybody lets out screams throughout the whole ride and Calum probably screams louder than everyone. 

after a couple more loops the ride comes to a stop and we get off, well Calum practically hops off. "That was horrible." he says as we walk back into the crowd of people. We walk up to the screen that shows the pictures that the ride takes, "No Luke i don't want to see how scared i look." he says while trying to pull me away but doesn't succeed as i drag him to the screen and pay 5 dollars for the picture. 

Calum's eyes are shut with fear and i just look shocked with my eyes wide open along with my mouth. We continue throughout the park and i convince him to get on more rides with me, i think he's starting to warm up to them a little. We finally get to the last and my personal favorite ride, the raging bull, i freaking love it. We wait in line for about 30 minutes and we get in front row again. Again he holds me hand and we make it through the ride, now for the big surprise. We get in line for a funnel cake and we sit down to eat it. 

Well i eat it because Calum looks mad. "Cal babe, what's wrong? you seem mad." i say ask i take a big bite out of the funnel cake, he stands up mad, "Of course i'm mad. You haven't taken me out in months since your disappearance and the first date you take me on is to the freaking amusement park, you know i hate heights. It's like you don't even love me anymore. Sometimes i feel guilty about cheating on you with Ashton but times like this make me think otherwise." he yells.

"You, you cheated on me? with Ashton?" i whimper out. i feel tears start to leave my eyes and i run away from him. As i make my way to the car i see the fireworks start to go up. More tears spill out as i know what the fireworks are spelling out. 

CALUM

I can't believe i just confessed to cheating on Luke with Ashton, it happened 3 years ago but we were still together. I pull at my hair as one of the workers approaches me, "Sir i would like to direct your attention to the fireworks." she says and points to the sky. "I don't want to see any stupid fireworks." i snap at her. She winces a little but speaks again, "Sir i insist." she says. i sigh, "Fine if i look at the stupid fireworks will you leave me alone?" i ask and she nods her head. 

i reluctantly look up as the first fireworks is fired, i look at it until i noticed that they spelled out my name. okay that captured my attention, the fireworks keep going off until the message is spelled out, Calum, i know you might think that i don't love you anymore but that's not true. You know all that fear you felt today? I would feel that everyday 100 times worse if i ever lost you. I love you babe, i always will. Look under the strawberry baby! 

strawberry? what strawberry? i look down at the table and notice that the funnel cake has a strawberry in the center, i pick it up and see engagement ring Luke gave me months ago placed neatly on the plate.  Omg? what have i done? this whole time it was his second proposal and i ruined it. everything is freaking amazing and i yelled at him. i break down and start crying my eyes out. Why am i so stupid?
