Aurora sat with a beautiful blonde girl named Caroline on the goal post of the football field. Aurora sat swinging her legs back and forth, trying to distract herself from her thoughts.

"So, you're Stefan's older sister?" Caroline asked, trying to get to know the newest Salvatore in town.

"I am indeed." Aurora laughed, turning her head lazily to look at Caroline.

"Can I ask you a question?"

"Isn't that what you've been doing for the last thirty minutes?" Aurora giggled.

"Has he always been such a killjoy?" she questioned, tilting her head to the side. "Like he has a stick up his ass?"

"No, quite the opposite actually, he was always fun when we were younger." Aurora reminisced. "Damon, Stefan, and I would run around the gardens playing games that we had made up. Stefan was always the most adventurous of the three of us."

"Really?" she asked in disbelief.

"Yeah." Aurora looked at the green grass. "Stefan always took the lead, and made sure that Damon and I stayed out of trouble." she hummed as the happy memories flowed through her. "I think that's why our father liked him the most. Stefan's always been incredibly smart, and brave. The traits that a leader needs to have."

"Which of your brothers do you like better?" Caroline questioned, a smile on her lips.

"Currently, I like Stefan more. Damon and I had a falling out earlier." Aurora confessed. "Though, normally I like both of my brothers the same."

"What did you and Damon fight about?"

"I had a breakdown last night." Aurora whispered, knowing Caroline could hear her perfectly well. "I killed a couple, and set their truck on fire." she scratched the back of her neck, beginning to feel ashamed for what she had done.

"That was you?" she asked, a surprised expression on her face. "We thought it was Klaus."

"Klaus?" Aurora asked, tilting her head to the side.

"Yeah. Klaus Mikaleson. Normally it's him and his stupid hybrids causing all of the trouble."

"Hybrids?"

"Half werewolf, half vampire." Caroline explained. They both jumped as the bell rang. The duo jumped down from the goal post. "C'mon, I'll introduce you to our friends."

As Aurora sat at the lunch table, she could feel a pair of eyes staring at her. She looked around, noting that Stefan and Elena seemed to be off in their own world, completely oblivious to her discomfort.

Caroline was in a heated conversation with Matt, Jeremy, and Bonnie. Three people Aurora had met minutes ago. Finally annoyed, she turned around and made eye contact with Tyler Lockwood. Tyler looked away quickly, but Aurora had a sick feeling that he had been the one watching her that entire time.

"There you are." a feminine voice said, catching the attention of everyone at the table. As she turned around, Aurora realized that it was none other than the original vampire. Rebekah stood in front of her, a friendly smile on her lips as she looked at Aurora.

"Rebekah, what are you doing here?" Elena asked coldly, glaring at the blonde.

"I'm just talking to my new friend, Aurora." she replied, not taking even a second to look in the brown eyed girl's direction. "Aurora, would you like to come home with me later?"
