The day I found out who I really was (G.M.W fanfic)

I need to know everything else

I've been laying in the field for probably 2 hours.
I had seen my so called father walk past a few times, trying to find me, but never did.
"Boo!" Someone says, poking both of my shoulders from behind.
"Ahh!" I scream, standing up and looking at the man.
"Eric!" I yell.
"Maddie!" Eric yells.

Eric is my dads best friend, he stopped at our house all the time before we moved to New York.
"What are you doing here?" I ask.
"Grabbing you."
I couldn't even respond to him, he picked me up, threw me over his shoulder, and started walking.
"Eric, people are going to think your kidnapping me," I laugh.
"So what."
He ends up putting me down and we walk along New York City talking.
"Why were you laying in the field?" Eric asks.

I don't answer for about 5 minutes.
"My...dad isn't...my dad," I sigh.
Eric looks at me, "How do you know that?"

"Him and Shawn were fighting in front of all of us...things were revealed, I realized my whole life was a lie, and I wanted to escape," I rant.
The number one reason, why Eric and I get along, is because he is the easiest person to talk to, I've always been able to tell him things, and they always stay between us.

"Wait, Jack and Shawn were in the same room?" Eric asks.
I nod my head, "And Riley, Maya, Cory, Topanga, and some little boy with fluffy brown hair," I tell him.

"There probably looking for you," Eric says.
"Oh I know there looking for me," I say.

"Maddie!" I hear someone call.
I look behind me to see Shawn running up to me.
"What do you want?" I ask.
"I need to talk to you," Shawn says, looking me in the eye.
"I should go," Eric says awkwardly before walking away.

"I need to tell you why I did what I did."
"No it's pretty obvious, Shawn, you didn't want me, so you dumped me with your brother then you both refused to talk to each other," I huff.

"Maddie! I wanted you!" Shawn yells.

"Then why did Jack raise me?"

"Do I look like I could be a father?" He asks.

I scoff, "What about Maya? If you had met her mother earlier, I bet you would have raised Maya, completely forgetting about me, now wouldn't you?" I say.

Shawn stayed silent.
"That's what I thought, you may have not been able to care for me when I was a baby, you could've come back for me, but you didn't! You chose to act like I never existed!" I yell.

"Jack wouldn't let me see you!" Shawn yells.
My tensed face changes to calm.
"What?"
"I wasn't aloud to take you back, because Jack got too attached to you," Shawn says calmly.

I sigh.
"Where is everyone?" I ask trying to change the subject.
"There back at Cory's apartment," Shawn tells me.
I nod and turn to start walking away.
"Where are you going?" Shawn yells as I go farther.

"I need to know everything else," I say.
