chapter 8

"so are you going to get in or are you just going to stare at me having fun" I say while a smirk escapes my lips

"Hmm im kinda enjoying just staring at you"

"Omg does Emerson Todd, The Emerson Todd have a crush on me" I say way to overly dramatic while swimming over to the bank were she was sitting with her knees up to her chest hugging them,and watching me.

I lean up to grab her legs to pull her in but before i could even grab her leg she was already up and dunking my head under the water.

"Your a loser" Emerson says with a smirk on her face as i rise up from under the water.

"a good looking loser though right?"

"Oh god your flirting skills need some work"

"yeah your right, maybe you could teach me sometime. Maybe on a date?"

Emersons emerald green eyes sparkle as the big smile i love reveals on her face.

"Smooth Carter, very smooth"

"Well im taking that as a yes, now get in the water before i force you into the water"

Without argument Emerson strips down her clothes to reveal her stunning body in a bright red lingerie set. If it was possible to fall for this girl more then i already was, it happened at this point.

Before i could take in her flawless body some more she was already jumping into the water doing a massive bomb and splashing my face.

She rises from the water, while a massive laugh escapes from her mouth.

Watching her laugh, with not a care in the world makes my whole vision slow down. In that moment i wanted to stay forever watching her honestly happy. No fake shit, no filters. Just Emerson, the real Emerson.

After watching her laugh turn into a slight smile i tune back into reality.

A few intense minutes of us both standing in the water in our underwear staring into each others eyes pass. I wanted to kiss her so bad but i didn't want to scare her away, i needed her to know she can trust me. So i go for the more childish route and splash her drenching her with water.

Emerson obviously wasn't impressed by this because she splashed me back twice as forceful and this resulted in us  having a full blown water fight.

We splashed and splashed until we both slowed down. I could feel her body coming closer to mine as we both fell more vulnerable by the second.

Our bodys finally touched so I moved my right hand up to tuck the lose hair that escaped her pony tail so i could push it behind her ear.

It felt like my body electrified. I could feel every sense in my body ignite just by her touch. I could tell Emerson felt the same way by how her eyes went wide and her lips slightly parted.

She reached up to grab my hand that was now placed on her cheek. She held it as my face moved closer and closer. We ended up getting so close i could fell her hot breathe on my lips and hear her heart pounding in my ears.

I knew she wanted me to kiss her, i just knew it. 

We stood in silence in this position for what felt like hours before she moved away and splashed my face with water playfully.

"Not a chance Carter, not a chance"
