Maria's P.O.V

"Mate...with you completely?" I asked for the second time still in shock. Yea I've thought of actually just mating with him but that was mostly my wolf who wanted him. My human side just wasn't ready for that yet. I guess he could sense my unease because he gently started to pet me like a child again. "Don't worry I won't do anything you don't want." He whispered to me. I nodded unable to speak. Suddenly the pack doctor came in and smiled at all of us. "I'm glad to see you're awake Luna..alpha." I growled lowly. I'm not liking this name change. "You two should finish resting please." I sighed loudly. "Michael I already told you that sliver doesn't affect me." She nodded and looked at me sternly. "Yes but not sleeping for a week straight can do damage on your body so I want you to sleep." Her eyes softened a bit. "Please to give me peace of mind." I was about to protest when suddenly Austin pulled me to his chest. "I'll make sure she'll sleep." He laid back with me in his arms and I curled up almost instantly. He was so warm and I just felt...safe. Being right here with him. Slowly as I closed my eyes I wished that we could stay like this forever in our peaceful states.

Blood. Even at this young of a age I could still smell it perfectly. I could still hear the screams of those who weren't dead yet. I could still hear the feet and paws chasing us down. I was only 8 years old when the rouges attacked us. "Maria! I can't run anymore my feet hurt!" I looked to my side. I was holding on to someone, we were running together, her red eyes looked so tired they were starting to close. I quickly slapped her and shook her to stay awake. "Marcy just a bit more we HAVE to keep going." I started to hear the howls as they got closer. The rouges who attacked us but also his. Was Eric coming to save us? Please goddess let him be ok. I quickly grabbed Marcy's hand and took off running again. We ran and ran as far as our little feet would take us. Eventually we ran through a stream. Those rouges wouldn't be able to smell us anymore now, but I made us keep running. We ran for what felt like hours until we saw it. 'The blood night pack! Austin will be there!' I smiled big and tugged on Marcy's hand. "Come on just a bit further." Momma and papa said if there was ever a problem the blood night pack will help us." We do have a treaty with them after all and we're friends. Once we finally got there we collapsed in front of the doors, guards were already beside us though. They were saying things but I couldn't understand. Slowly I was slipping away into a deep sleep Marcy at my side. Sweet little Marcy...I didn't know that this would be the last 2 years we'd have together.

Why is it that in every chapter I see mistakes then fix them but they are the same once I republish them? -.- like seriously BRUH
