Maria's P. O. V

"If you don't eat I'll finish all of this." I motioned toward the fish we caught today. Marcy hasn't been looking well for quite some time. I wondered what was wrong. I gave her some herbs I found in the woods and still she doesn't look any better. "I'm ok you eat up. Angel must be starving anyways." True. Now that I have a wolf I need to eat a lot more for the both of us, which isn't easy at all. But I can handle this! Me and angel are strong we can handle eating small meals as long as we actually have some type of food we'll be fine! "I..was kidding. Marcy you really need to eat. Please just a small bite come on." I urged her on as she took small bites of her fish. She quickly put it down however and ran behind a tree. She was throwing up again. Sighing I got up and made some tea putting mint leaves in it. This usually helps her stomach problems. "Here Marc come drink this." I said as I was pouring her a cup. Silence. "Marcy?" More silence. I got up starting to panic. "Mar-" I was cut off hearing a pain filled scream. I quickly ran over to her ready to attack the attacker who I thought was hurting her. But I saw no one. She was just laying on the ground clutching her chest. "Marcy what's wrong?!" I picked her up and brought her back into the clearing. She whimpered a bit as I laid her down and she shook her head. "I-it hurts...sis it hurts." Her tear filled red eyes burned into me. What was I supposed to do?! I was only eleven!
"Why? What's hurting you? Is it your stomach? Your chest?" She was about to say something but instead she let out another pain filled scream. I heard a loud crunch this time. Frantically I looked around thinking it was someone, an animal, anything! Until I heard another then another. Finally I recognized it as bones crushing. Marcy was gasping for air when I finally looked down at her. 'Angel what's happening to her?!' Tears were going down my cheeks as I watched my little sister laying down fear and pain on her face. 'She's shifting.' Angels soft voice came into my mind. She sounded scared. Marcy wasn't supposed to be shifting this early. ''Why is she shifting now?' My panicky voice rang through my head. I heard another crack and blood started dripping out of her mouth. That didn't happen when I shifted. I don't think that happens when anyone shifts. 'The weight of her wolf...its crushing her.' Angel voice sounded as if she was crying inside me. "Maria..." I winced at Marcy's raspy voice. There was more blood. Coming from her mouth and red tears coming from her eyes. "Maria...I...love you." I shook my head. She's speaking as if this is the end. I wasn't going to let it end like this! "No! You're going to be ok! Marcy you can make it please...don't leave me.." I fell to her side brawling. Each scream, each crushing bone. It's like I felt it all. It was killing her...killing me. Soon the screaming stopped, the gasping for air stopped. It's like time was still. When I raised my head I was greeted with a large black lump of fur. It wasn't moving at all. As I looked I noticed, her fur was a black as the new moon that darkened the sky. I screamed and cried out that entire night. Marcy died at the age of eleven. Right here in this field.

"Maria? Are you ok?" I shuddered at that voice. A slightly deeper voice then what Marcy's used to be. I turned and looked at Ariana. What was once Marcy's body now belonged to this wolf. It's been months since that day. Some how miraculously that morning the wolf woke up. I stopped crying for a split second thinking maybe, just maybe that she survived her change. I mind linked her but it was slightly hard. 'M-Marcy?' I slowly started over to the dark wolf looking into its eyes. Its shining blue eyes. I thought of my eyes in wolf form then shook my head. 'Marcy...? My name is Ariana.' A new voice came in my head. My heart stopped for a moment. 'D-do you feel anything? Anyone inside with you?' I questioned as I walked closer, legs slightly shaking with every step. 'No..I don't believe I do...who are you exactly?' That did it. I fell to the ground crying again till I passed out. When I woke it was dark and the black wolf, now named Ariana, was wrapped around me. I tried to sit up but she put her paw on me and forced me back down. "What the hell are you doing?" I questioned looking at her. 'Angel told me everything...you need rest.' I struggled and continued trying to get up to no avail. Finally I sank back into the fluffy, warm mass of fur tired and started closing my eyes. As I was drifting off I could hear soft whimpers and whines coming from the wolf behind me. 'I'm sorry...it's all my fault.' Was the last thing I heard.
---------------------------------------------------------"You need to learn how to shift back." I finally spoke to her a week later after our..meeting. She looked at me tail wagging and nodded her big head. 'But how? I don't have a human body anymore..' She looked down ears dropping as I glared hard at her. As she looked down I threw a picture to the ground in front of her. It was of me and Marcy...and Tyler and Austin. "Focus on the blonde one. Focus on her body and shape. You'll be able to shift back." Or at least I hope she would. It took two days but she finally did. It took another week or so to be able to walk on two legs instead of four. It was like raising a baby. I had to keep constant eye on her. She was always running off chasing some poor animal or butterfly. She liked being in her wolf form as I slept, her reasoning to make sure other predators stayed away from me in my weaker state. I wonder how she figured I was weak when I could take her down even in my human form. Angel was getting annoyed with how distant I treated Ariana. She constantly told me that she was still my sister but I refused to see her as it. I didn't grow up with this girl. She doesn't even know me! But that didn't stop her from calling me big sister and trying to hug and cuddle me all the time. It annoyed me at first but I soon grew used to it. Ariana wasn't a bad person..she was actually really sweet and loving. Curiously looking at the world as if it were brand new. But she wasn't Marcy. She must've known I missed her because today she bowed to me saying "I can still be like her. I won't act like a wolf while in this body if it will make you feel better. If it will make you happier and not hate me I will do anything." She whispered the hate part. I looked on at her then slowly looked away. After awhile I heard her turn on her heels ready to walk away when I spoke up. "Do you know our parents? Do you remember anything from our old life? Our family? Friends? Anything?" Small tears were going down my cheeks. "I..I remember everything you remember. I can see what you think of when you dream, when you think period. You display it so loudly in our mind link." I froze before looking at her. Her head was down and she had tears going down her face. "You want to cry and give up but you don't. You lost everyone you cared about.." Her fist tightened and her knuckles turned white as she continued. "But you still have me! I might not be her but I can try. If this is what it takes I promise I can be your little sister again." She was a mess of tears. I sighed and held my head. This was too much for our age. I laughed softly and her head shot up so fast she could've gave herself whiplash. "You don't have to try...you already are." A soft smile tugged at my lips. It's been awhile since I actually smiled. She smiled big more tears streaming down her face. She tackled me in a bone crushing hug as she nuzzles into me. I smiled and hugged her back petting her hair. She was the last thing I had left in this world. I have to protect her at all cost. No matter what. I won't let her cry again. I need to teach her how to control her strength before she kills me with her hugs first...

*************************************

2 years pasted. Ariana and me just turned 13 and we were living pretty happily. We played and hunted in wolf form. Slept, ate, and bathed in human form. We even started training as well. As far as that goes though...lets just say a lot of trees in this forest has had better days. One day as we ate we heard sounds of tree branches breaking in the distant. We both got up and bared our teeth, ready to shift at any moment. That was until I smelled the soft scent of pine. It was surrounded by a group of disgusting scents but I instantly recognized it. I recognized it more when a black haired boy came through the trees with a group of rouges beside and behind him. "E-Eric...you're alive." Tears swelled in my eyes for the first time in two years. He stepped forward smiling wide. "Hey sis. It's been awhile huh?"

This is seriously just a lot of backstory chapters for maybe..the next two chapters maybe. I might put a different POV in the next chapter if I can think of one. Well enjoy! Until next time lovelies~!
