"Ug.Closed"Nick sigh as he hang up the phone. "Whatabout McDonald's? I can go pick it up!"you propose. "Ohgod please no"Lauren begs. "Guys,I don't care what we eat anymore, but we have to eat it quicklybecause I'm starving"Darren explains from the couch. "Justcall another pizza place. One has to still be open"Joe asked Nick. You heard the doorbell and quickly stood up from thecouch where you were laying. "Who'sthat?"Jaime asks as she saw you running at the door. "Ryan"you say back as your hand touched the door handle. Darren rolled hiseyes and sighed, crossing his arms like a baby who just did a whim. You and him did not talk much these last few days, or at allactually. What he said that morning really hurted you and apparentlyyou kind of hurted him too. Or maybe he was too proud to admit youwere right. You open the door to see your boyfriend and smiled athim. "Ibrought food"he said, out of breath. You heard a loud 'Yes' coming from the livingroom. You laugh and so did Ryan as you hug him. "Youreally know how to please a woman"you joke. He laughed and you helped him carry in the bags. He walkedin and you closed the door behind him. "Igot noodles! Good for everyone?"Ryan asked as he put the food on the coffee table. Everyone cheered, except Darren. You put the other bags of food on the table too aseveryone stood up to took their noodles, except, of course, Darren.Everyone got their pack, you got two for Ryan and you. As he sat onan armchair, you sat on his lap, your back on the armrest as you handhim the noodles, all smiling. "Thanks"he says to you as he opens it. "Youdon't wanna eat, Darren?"Ryan asked, confused, as he saw that Darren did not move since hearrived. "No.I'm not hungry"Darren answered harshly. "Dude, what the fuck, you said you were starving, like 5 minutes ago"Joey added next to him. As the only answer, Darren punch Joey's thighand looked at him furious. Joey just shrugged as you say to Ryan"Forget it".Darren eventually took his noodles later, he was indeed starving. Hewas always glancing at you and Ryan through the end. "Dude, you're creppy"Joey whispered in his ear. "Iknow! I hate it! I don't wanna be like that!"he whispers back to him. "Youcan always glance at me"he said in a girly voice. Darren laughed and hit Joey's shoulderplayfully "Yousound like a bitch"."Hey! That wasmean, smartass"he answered, pretending to be offended. He totally failed at it andcouldn't hide his amused smile. At the end of the night, you saidgoodnight to everyone who went to bed, and you entered your room withRyan. You two got prepared to bed as he asks you "What'sgoing on with Darren? Did I say or do something to offend him?"."No, why areyou thinking that?"you ask, frowning. "Idon't know, the guy haven't been nice to me like ever. But I mean, hedoesn't seem like a bad person so I don't know...and he was lookingat us angrily the whole night. That was unconfortable"he explains. You just shrugged and got under the sheets with Ryan ashe had. "Maybehe's jealous".You chuckle as he said something totally absurd. "Nohe's not. Darren and I only had been friends, nothing more"you explain as you saw Ryan's confused face. "Maybehe didn't say it"he adds. "He'snot into me, ok?"you say, a little annoyed and way too harshly. Ryan looked at youwith wide eyes, he surely did not expect this reaction. "I'msorry it's just...Darren and I argued ok? That's why he's actingweird. It has nothing to do with you. He's acting weird with me.Because he argued. That's all. I just...I'm tired of this"you sighed, looking down. "I...Imiss him"you add as your voice cracked. Ryan looked at you apologically andtook you in his arms to comfort you. "Hey,that's okay baby"he whispers in your ear. You put your head into his shoulders andsilently cry. You hugged back Ryan, and pulled apart. "Whydid you two argued?"he asks as he dried your tears. "Urgh,it was a stupid thing...I don't really want to talk about it"you say, looking down again. "It'sokay"Ryan said as he smiled faintly. Afew days went by and nothing changed. You tried to be happy even whenone of your best friend were totally ignoring you. You really missedhim, but somehow, you didn't want to forgive him. You just couldn'tbecause you didn't understand his reaction. You knew he never likedyou, at least more than a friendly way. So why would he act likethis? You felt bad to act like he didn't exist when he was aroundyou, but you couldn't help it. You wondered if he felt the same. Thedinner was very silent, unless normally. Something was going on, youknew it. You were sittiny next to Jaime and Nick, and all of the guyskept staring at each other like they had an secret. "Oh,guys I was just wondering..."Joey started to say. "Whenare you gonna stop acting like stupid people and finally talk?"he adds. Darren sighed and rolled his eyes and you just looked downand bit your lip nervously. "Mindyour own business, Richter"Darren said, harassed. "See,Criss, it's kind of our business too because we live with your awfulmood since your fight"Meredith said, looking pissed. You kept your hand down as Darren didit too. "Sowhat's going on here?"Lauren asks. Darren nor you answered, so Dylan said "Whateverit was for, just apologize. I'm sure it was nothing"."I'm not goingto"Darren said, as you say "Iwasn't the one who started this".You two were defending yourselves at that point, and Brian just puthis fists strongly into the table and he stands up. "Stopthat already! Darren, we know exactly what she told you and you knowwhat, she was right! You was - or is I don't know, maybe you're stillgetting into the fucking pants of every girl who pass by - an assholeman!".You cross your arms and looked at Darren with a little smile, satisfied that you were right". "Andyou!"Brian turns to you. You looked at him astonished. You were notexcepting him to say something to you. "Howold are you? You seriously played the 'I didn't start it' game? Girl, the fact that you're right here doesn't mean you can act like afucking child"he said. You looked down. You knew he was right. "Sonow, just act like mature and normal adults and talk".Brian sat down and a unconfortable silence filled the room. Youlooked at Darren. Maybe talking was the solution now. Maybe youneeded to stop being a child and be all proud because at the end, youwere the one who was losing your best friends. Darren looked at youfor a second, pissed and left the table to go to his room. You lookeddown again. 'Losing me is not a problem for him apparently' youthought. All you heard was Brian clapping sarcastically as he said"Well done,Criss. Well done".
