"Do you take this man to be your husband; forever and always...sickness and in health?"
"I do..." I whispered, squeezing onto Jihoon's hand.
"Now. Repeat after me, Jihoon. I, Pyo Jihoon, take this man to be my husband. Forever and always. In sickness and in health. Until the very end." The priest looked at Jihoon.
After repeating what the priest had said, we pushed the rings onto each other's fingers.
"Now..." The priest was now looking at me, smiling. "Taeil, would you like to make up your own vows or would you like to read the ones from the book?"
Blushing as much as a tomato, I looked up at Jihoon, trying not to cry. "I'll make my own up, please... Pyo Jihoon...I promise to you...to love you forever. I promise that I'll never ever let go of you. I will take care of you. I will have a family with you. I won't buy as many fish as I usually do and...uh...I won't stalk you as much." Giggling, I looked up to see Jihoon laughing, but crying with happiness.
"Taeil..." Giggling again and crying harder, he began his vows to me. "I promise to let you have as many fish as you like. I also promise to not get angry as much when you talk about fish non-stop for four hours. I promise to look after you as much as I possibly can. I promise to keep you safe. I promise to keep you happy. I promise to make you feel loved. Finally...I promise that instead on leaving my dirty boxers on the floor, I will pick them up and keep the house clean." Laughing harder, he practically fell into my arms. As he did that, I began laughing hysterically at him.
"Right, boys." Also, smirking he turned his head to both of us. "I now pronounce you husband and husband. You may now kiss."
Looking up into Jihoon's eyes, I noticed something different. Something had changed within him. He seemed happy. Not just happy, in fact! He seemed ecstatic and seeing that made me feel mutual!
Gently placing his hand on my cheek, Jihoon leaned down, tenderly brushing his lips against mine. "I love you, Taeil...I always have and I always will...It's forever now..."
Just hearing him say those words brought tears to my eyes. No one will ever have any idea of how much I wanted to hear him say that. I never thought he would...This all seems like a dream!
As the crowd of Jihoon's family stood up, clapping; me and Jihoon ran out of the church hand in hand.
This was the most magical day of my life. Thank you, Chaehee...
