Kim...

"K-kin?" Kim stuttered. Her legs felt wobbly and her face burned. He was giving her a hard look. She wanted to cry... "I-I.. I.." she couldn't speak.. Kim tried to think of some excuse to say, but she couldn't think straight..

"You what?" He snapped, coming towards her, his fists at his side. She backed up and planned to turn and run, but her legs were shaky and she didn't want to fall while running. That would just embarrass her more.

So, Kin took this chance and grabbed her wrist, and pushed her against the lockers, but not too hard. Kim squeaked and glared at him.

"W-what the heck is-" she started to yell.

"Shut up," he said lowly. She immediately went quiet and looked up at him. She was scared.. was he going to hit her? Scream in her face? Tell her that she was a psycho? She shut her eyes tightly and braced herself for the worst.. "why..?" She heard him whisper and snapped her eyes open wide as he buried his face in her shoulder... Her mouth gaped open in shock as Kin clasped his hand on hers.

"W-what?" She stammered out. A late feeling of shock settled over her. Kim had barely received this type of reaction before.. her father would've yelled, screamed, and maybe even get physical. But Kin... Kin didn't...

"Why... why would you do that? Mean.. are you that stupid? I thought you were a nerd Kim.." his voice muffled and breaking in her shirt...

She felt hot tears burn down her cheeks at his words...

"I don't know.." she whispered as she hugged him. She buried her face in his back and had her arms wrapped around him, Kin hugged her back.

"That's a first.." he chuckled, trying to keep himself from crying. Kim cried.

"Sh-shut up.." she said between the hiccups..he chuckled and she awkawardly laughed and cried at the same time.

After a little while Kim calmed down and Kin walked her to the nurses office. A note was left on the door:

Nurse Joy is currently out for the day, if you would like to lie down, please check in at the office..

Kin shrugged the note off and opened the door for Kim. She hesitated, but felt too exhausted to argue. She barely ate a peice of toast and with her lack of sleep she looked like a racoon...

Kim sat down on the empty cot and stared at her feet. She felt so tired.. but so awake at the same time. The feeling frustrated her and just made her more jumbled with her emotions. The fact that the boy she'd been infatuated with for the past 3 years was with her alone in the room, and she tried to jump of a roof in front of him. Not to mention the fact she just cried with him in the empty hallway.

It just seemed to blur past her, and not even faze her. The after shock, and embarrassment would hit her soon enough from today.

Kin sat on the nurses desk chair, giving Kim her space. She felt a little disappointed, she'd kind of hoped he'd sit with her. Let her lean on his shoulder and soothe her by stroking her hair- Kim stopped.. fantasies like that were only for the hopelessly romantic and the movies... Well, she did fit in one of those categories. Kim sighed and locked her hands together. Her thumbs ran over each other as she tried to organize her thoughts. Kim looked to find the courage to look up, but the past events and today's just kept her head down. The tension in the room grew as she stayed silent. Kim almost said something to break the silence, but nothing came out, it was just quiet. A knot grew in her throat and a faint feeling of nausea came over her. Her back started to cramp and she felt so stupid for just sitting there.
