Laney

Laney with shaking legs, carefully let herself down from Corey's bike, and managed to stand without face planting. Corey held back a snicker, and steadied the bike then took off his helmet's along with hers. He helped her to her door, but it was a bit awkward then.

"Corey..?" She asked, after a few minutes of silence.

"Yeah...?"

"Um... Good job on the test..."

He smiled, and softly pulled her in for a hug, Laney wasn't ready and stiffened up again. Corey laughed, and pulled back.

"Red, I'm not going to bite you... again.." He told her, smirking, and she blushed.

"Good bye Corey.." She said, shoving him off, but was smiling.

"Oh come on, I was kidding," he grinned, putting up his arms for emphasis. Laney rolled her eyes, and hugged him again. He wrapped his arms around her again, and they stood like that for a while. It was darker now, and the birds were softly chirping almost like a murmur. The lamps, keeping the streets lit, buzzed loud enough to hear if you were quiet. There was a gentle breeze now that made the trees sway, and whistle in the evening. It was a cool night that comforted Laney just as Corey's embrace did.

Slowly they pulled back, Corey looked at her, his eyes gentle. Laney bit her lip, realizing how horrible she was being. She was just starting to be friends with Carrie too... Now she completely betrayed her. God this was awful, but she couldn't force herself to turn away when he kissed her again. It was a simple, tender kiss. Not as heated as the last one, but it still made Laney's stomach flutter. After, he kissed her forehead. And Laney held her breath.

"Night Red," he whispered, taking her hand and placing a small kiss on it. She swallowed, and then took a shaky sigh.

"Night," She managed out. He pulled away, and gradually let go of her hand. Laney leaned against the door, watching him go. What would happen now? What was she and Corey now? She was so confused, but was so happy. But was she moving too fast? she knew little about boy, but saw so much from him.

He saluted with two fingers as he started the bike with a smile, and Laney sighed. with a moderate pace she opened her door and went inside as the motor of the bike faded. She felt all jittery, yet horrible at the same time. The red head sighed, and pushed off the door, and started to head upstairs.

Guilt seem to kill her lovestruck feelings... Laney couldn't stop thinking about Corey, but at the same time, she couldn't stop thinking about Carrie... She was crying... and then what does Laney do? Kiss her boyfriend! real smart Lanes...

Laney sighed, and fell on to her bed. The messy sheets comforting her. She didn't feel like doing anything... not reading, drawing, or even homework.

She just wanted to lay down and let the butterflies in her stomache settle. She thought of the several scenarios that could happen tomorrow... Was she and Corey dating? Was Corey going to break up with Carrie? Was Carrie going to pummel Laney?

"I'm so stupid..." she whispered to herself.

???

Corey was as dumb as he was hot if he thought he could get away with this. (Meaning he was very very hot)

Watching from a far they saw Corey give a chaste kiss to the short red headed b*tch. She saw it all...

With a giggle growing at the back of her throat, she snapped a glorious picture.
