But pushing past those feelings her attention grew towards Corey.

Corey was known for going out with older girls such as College or seniors. He was also known as being kind of a player, or not the type to stay that very long in a relationship. So it was a shock to the school when he and Carrie hooked up. This made Laney think if they have ever.. Laney smacked her forehead and shook off the dirty thoughts. Though it really wouldn't surprise her... but isn't that the type of thing boyfriends and girlfriends do, right?

Laney had never really been in a relationship before; but she'd read them in her stories and seen them in the movies.. but.. had no experience herself, and like she said before, Laney never planned to have one. Kim and her even made up the 'Forever Virgins Club' in the 8th grade. Laney smiled at the old memory. Why did it seem different? Why did it feel.. off? It was as if their friendship was slowly disintegrating... Laney had spaced out on thinking about it and didn't noticed the crude chatter behind her.

That's when someone shoved her. A group of girls laughed. Laney shakily stood and turned to see her attackers, but ended up on the ground again. A stinging pain throbbed at her cheek as she yelped. Again she looked up. It was Carrie, Konnie, Trina, Mina, and Grace. Grace and Konnie stood over her, and grinned. Laney looked over them and helplessly looked at Mina... the shy glasses-eyed girl sadly turned away. Carrie was also looking away, but she seemed pissed off about something else.

"Hey attention up here you lame-@ss lesbo," Grace spat, and kicked her side. Laney cried out again, and clenched the side of her stomache. Konnie then yanked her up by the hair and laughed, and the others joined, except Carrie and Mina...
After, Konnie dragged her behind the bushes and a large tree. Laney screamed, but was silenced as she was roughly pushed against a brick wall. She tightly held the back of her head, and tears threatened to slip from her eyes. But she held them back, like hell she would cry in front of these girls.

She glared at her violent assulters. Mostly at Konnie.

"What the heck is wrong with you?" Laney kept her voice angry, hopefully not faltering. But the bullies laughed again.

"What the heck is wrong with you?" Grace mimicked. Laney bit her tongue. She was not going to cry.

"So we heard that you've been hitting on Carrie's boy," Grace said, crossing her arms with a nasty smirk. Laney's eyes widened. She was not going to cry.

"Yeah what's up with that? I thought you were up on my sister freak," Konnie laughed. She was not going to cry.

"I'm only tutoring him!" She defensively. Konnie scoffed and slammed her hand against the wall and smiled wickedly. No.. she was not going to..

"That's such büllsh¡t and you know that, rumors been going around saying he took you," she claimed, "So nerd, did he? Did he screw-" before she could finish Laney slapped her. It took a second before Konnie realized what happened. Her face remained in shock for almost a minute. The others had gone silent with their own astonishment.

Laney glared at the taller girl with such rage, Konnie actually wavered for a moment.

"I am still a freaking virgin! I am only tutoring Riffin, and I have no intention hitting on him! Why would I do that? I'm only a little nerd that's ugly, useless, and unwanted by people like you, right? So leave me alone," Laney screamed. This time however, Konnie stuck Laney hard across the face with her fist.
