Before I start, I want to give a shoutout to @Avid_Reader890 for their feedback. I read all the comments and use them to make my story better. So thanks a lot, @Avid_Reader890

Also, I will have a book cover contest. Is the 13th too soon for the deadline? That's my birthday, so I would love it if it's not!! Dm them to me on Instagram. My account is @Amanda Milovich.

Last thing: I will probably eventually rewrite this so it's slower paced and Rosalie isn't as gullible. But that will be after I get this writing thing under my thumb!

Enjoy!!

Pierre pushed me behind him. He looked like he was trying to decide what to say.

Sir Percy angrily stomped over to us, his face contorted into an infuriated scowl. "What did you do to the princess? How did you convince her to- to-" he spluttered angrily. He was so pissed he couldn't even talk right. "Did you Compel her? You did-"

"I did not." Pierre was back to his nonchalant, chivalrous self. I peeked out from behind him.

Sir Percy's face was redder than a tomato. There was practically steam billowing out of his ears. It was all I could do not to laugh.

"Sir Percy, stop!" I said stepping out from behind Pierre.

"You would defend Mosquito Man over here?!" Sir Percy shouted.

Although on the surface, Pierre remained calm, when I looked back at him, I could see in the depths of his eyes that that had hit close to home.

"Sir Percy, I have something to discuss with you and Pierre. Let's go inside." I said, looking back at the knight.

"Not with-"

"It's very important. We need to discuss it now." And with that, I took Pierre's hand and walked to the front porch. "Would you like to come in?" I asked with a smile.

"The Lac d'Amour... How could you be so foolish, Princess?" Sir Percy said quietly when I finished my story.

Pierre had said nothing yet, only gripped my hand under the table. But he finally spoke up. "You think I would deceive her for my... Own purposes, don't you." He was so quiet, even I could barely hear him.

"Quite."  Sir Percy said bitterly.

I sighed. "Sir Percy, you told me about Soul Mates, right?" Sir Percy nodded slowly, either still not getting it or not wanting to.

I pinched my nose between my thumb and forefinger. "And Pierre told me the Lac d'Amour leads you to you Soul Mate." Another slow nod from Sir Percy.

Desperately trying to keep my cool, I said,"And the lake showed Pierre and I that we are meant for each other."

Sir Percy took a sip of tea, as if he were trying to pretend we had vanished, and my Soul Mate was not really a vampire.

"Anyway, I should get going. Mom wanted to leave at 3." I walked out of the kitchen and led Pierre to the door.

"How will you find me? I don't even know where I'm going."

"The forest is bigger than you think, princess."

Before I could figure out what he meant, he kissed my nose and ran off into the forest.

"C'mon, Rose, time to go!!" My mom shouted. The car was loaded and running. I ran outside and clambered in.

The car made some weird noises, and then lifted into the sky.y eyes bugged out of my head and I suppressed a scream.

My mother only laughed gently. "No one's taught you to use your wings yet, and we can't exactly drive through the forest. So we enchanted a car!"

Even though we were flying, it would still take a while to get to the castle. So I decided to think about some things that had been bothering me.

First, if I actually was a fairy princess, why has no one told me? Why didn't they even tell me I was a fairy? Was this some sort of sick, messed up prank? But the flying car kinda dissolves that theory.

I sighed. I just wanted to be a normal sixteen-year-old. Well, as normal as a teenager can be when she's living in the middle of an enchanted forest alone with her parents.

And speaking of the enchanted forest, if faeries were real, did that mean sprites and plant spirits were, too? What about the Seelie Courts?

But it all came back to the same thing: how was I a faery princess? Me? The weird teenage girl who still believed I enchanted forests?

------------

I stood in between two raised platforms. One was slightly higher than the other. The higher platform was covered in wildlife. Trees with leaves greener than green stood tall and proud. Deer wandered around and nibbled at grass. The impossibly blue sky looked close enough to touch. And in the center of the platform was a clearing with a grand oak table. The legs were carvings of flower spirits growing what looked like daylillies. Five faeries in flowing green robes talked to a beautiful woman in a green satin gown.

On the other platform, white fluffy snow covered the ground. Fluffy white rabbits sniffed at it and played in it. Off to the side, a frozen lake sparkled welcomingly. Brown leafless trees stretched their branches as far as they could, as if trying to touch the gray-blue sky. Similar to the other platform, a table stood in the middle, this one made of cherry wood. The carvings on the legs this time looked like a sprite directing snowflakes toward the sleeping earth.

Similar to the other table, 5 faeries wearing gray robes this time conversed with a beautiful woman in a white silk dress and a handsome man wearing a white and gray-blue suit.

I couldn't hear what either group was saying so I went to move closer...

"Rosalie, wake up!"  My mother said frustratedly. I realized I had fallen asleep. "We're here." She informed me.

I got out of the car. What I saw took my breath away. The sun was setting behind the castle's whitewashed bricks and sapphire-roofed towers. It looked over a valley with rolling hills and lush wildlife.

On the other side of the castle, I thought I saw snow, but I couldn't be sure.

I was absolutely awestruck. Mom pushed me gently from behind. "Let's go. They're waiting for you."

Without even asking who they were, I allowed her to lead me toward the castle.
