[Your Name] saw Lukas heal them without any supplies, and asked him, "Is that... Magic?"

"Yes," he replied without looking up from his work.

It looked as if he wasn't going to continue that conversation, so the dragon asked something else. "Can Emil understand what I'm saying?" [Your Name] questioned and looked at the said child.

This time Lukas looked at them. "Some things. What you say is kind of like a language to us; he's still learning."

     "How much does he know?"

"About enough for a short beginning conversation."

[Your Name] looked at Emil. The dragon hadn't heard him say anything for as long as they woke up. He must be the shy type, the animal thought to themself.

Deciding to approach him gently, [Your Name] said, "Hello, I am [Your Name]. How are you?"

"Hello, [Your Name]," he greeted. "I am Emil. And I'm good, thanks for asking."

Emil thought for a moment, trying to decipher what the large reptile's foreign words, then answered with a small smile, "It has been okay so far, we came to go hunting. And then that's when we ran into you!"

[Your Name] felt surprised and somewhat impressed with how good Emil was in speaking whatever language they spoke. He was very young!

As the dragon finished their conversation with Emil, Lukas announced he was done healing and stepped back from [Your Name].

The dragon hesitantly got up from the ground, afraid all the while that the previous unbearable pain would return, but it never did. They stretched their body and wings; no pain was felt.

An uncontrollable smile broke across [Your Name]'s face as they wagged their long tail happily.

"Thank you so much, Lukas! When I got hit in the side, I thought I was done for, but then you were kind enough to save me! I owe you all my thanks!" [Your Name]'s happiness of surviving their injuries took over and they babbled about how grateful they were for Lukas' sympathy.

Lukas was surprised by the large reptile's sudden outburst but was pleased nonetheless. "Your welcome."

Emil didn't understand what [Your Name] said, but got the gist that they were happy and smiled. "Yay, stóri bróðir, you made them happy!"

A sudden idea popped into the dragon's mind. "Hey, you guys originally came to hunt, yes?" They asked.

Lukas gave her a wary look. "That's right."

"Well, let me hunt for you—to show my thanks. Stay here and I'll be back in a bit."

      "Alright, [Your Name]; thank you."

And with that, the reptile shot into the sky to repay Lukas and Emil. And this time, with more cautiousness...
