There's a little surprise POV for this chapter :D
MELISSA'S POV:
I stared at the ground. I was fuming with anger. I haven't been this angry since my Dad left us back in Maine.
I was pinned against the wall by his large frame, I wanted to get out of here.
"Why didn't you eat?" He asked, looking down at me.
I looked up at him, but I didn't answer. The last thing I wanted was to explain to some stranger my emotional side and how I wake up sick to my stomach. How after my Dad left me and my Mom finally got close but then drifted apart, how I have barely seen her since we moved. How I'm all alone in a new place with nothing but the ocean waves outside my window to guide me.
I knew I was going to cry, I knew it. I could feel my eyes filling up. I tried to push past him. I tried as hard as I could, but he pushed me back against the wall.
Tears started falling down my face. I looked up at him.
"Why are you crying?" He asked with concern all over his face.
I tried again to push past him, embarressed beyond belief. I was hoping nobody could see me behind him, but I knew they could.
"Move." I choked out.
"No." He said in disbelief, " Why are you crying?" He asked.
"Please, I can't be here right now." I pleaded.
"Come here." He said, pulling my into his chest. He lifted me up, and I was so embarrssed to show my face and clung to his shirt and hid myself. I wrapped my legs around him and he walked out of line. Once we reached the hallway I asked him to put me down but he wouldn't.
"Where are we going?" I asked, wiping away tears.
"I don't know yet." He mumbled.
He was walking towards the doors.
"We can't leave school! " I said, trying to get him to put me down.
"Well, we are." He said, walking out of the doors still carrying me.
I started crying again. I've been so emotional since I've left home. Besides, I've never skipped school before, I didn't want to get in trouble, my Mom would flip out.
"We're going to get in trouble." I said, in between cries.
"No we're not." He said with reassurance.
I lifted my head up and saw we were nearing his black truck. I looked down to find his gray v-neck was covered in my tears.
"I'm sorry ." I mumbled.
"It's fine." He said. He put me down and took his keys out of his pocket unlocking his truck and opening my door. He reached down to lift me up but I stepped back.
"I've got it." I said, lifitng myself up into the truck. I knew he was watching me, and when I sat down, he was just staring at me.
"Can you stop staring at me please?" I asked, feeling self conscious under his gaze.
He shut my door, and walked around the side of the truck, easily getting into the drivers side
"How tall are you?" I asked.
"6 foot four, why?" He said, putting the keys in the ignition.
"Just wondering." I said, looking around the truck.
