MELISSA'S POV:

Goooooooooood morninggg LOS ANGELES! I'm Booker and you're listening to 97.1 . Skies are sunny today so let get started with the top ten songs of this week!

I groaned. I really needed to get a new alarm clock.

UUUUUP NEXT IS number 10 -
I shut my alarm off. I hated it, but for some reason Booker screaming in my face was the only thing that got me up in the morning. My phone beeping was definitely not going to do the job.
I dragged myself into the shower. When I got out I dried my hair and was thinking about what I was going to wear. I found a dark blue skirt with light pink roses on it and a white v neck. I slide on a pair of dark blue sandals and grabbed my school bag. By time I was ready and got downstairs my mom had already left for work. My phone started ringing in my back pocket it was her.
"Hello" I said.
"Hey hunny, I don't know if you saw but I left money for you on the counter, have a great day." I could hear her smile through the phone.
I myself smiled. " Thanks Mom. Love you."
She paused for a moment and I could hear her sigh in relief. " I love you too sweetie."
I hung up and while I was walking to school I was thinking about the last time I told my Mom I loved her since this morning and I couldn't remember. Things just got so bad after my Dad left - I loved my Dad so much. My eyes were tearing up walking to school and I didn't want to show up crying. But I couldn't help but think how it wasn't my Mom's fault that he left and I blamed her for so long. I was a block away from school now so I took a deep breath and made sure my eyes weren't teared up or anything. I walked into the school and made my way to my locker. I was looking for my English book when someone came up behind me.
"Good Morning." I could hear his smile. It was Nick.
I turned. " Hey." I said, trying to look happy. It's not that I didn't want to see Nick, it's just that he kind of lied to me -well not really, but he didn't tell me the truth either.
"How are you?" He asked, leaning against the locker next to mine.
I laughed a little bit, " A little better and a little worse." I answered honestly.
He smiled. " I feel you on that."
I smiled back.
"Look, I gotta go, but I just wanted to see what was up." He began to walk away , " See you in Gym Mel." He waved as he walked backwards for a few steps. I waved back.
I sighed, putting the books I needed in my bag. I started walking upstairs to go to English, I took my time though, today I just really didn't want to be in school. I actually don't think I would mind if Jake just dragged me out today like he did most of last week.

I suddenly felt a little bit empty. Like something was missing from my morning. Jake, I didn't see Jake yet today, he didn't come back last night even though I left my window open, he didn't pick me up this morning. I was a little bit worried.

I strolled into English class, my mind somewhere else.

"Nice to have you join us Ms. White."

I looked up, Mr. field was practically burning holes in me with his eyes from his desk.

Shit. I'm late. I didn't even hear the bell ring when I was walking here.

"Why don't you take your sit Ms. White?" Mr. Field ordered, sounding super annoyed with me.

I sat down and I could feel everyone's eyes on me. I sighed and leaned back in my chair, always making a spectacle of myself. The red head in front of me turned and laughed lowly, "And you're supposed to be Luna." She laughed a little more and turned back around. I felt my face heat up, I was sure everyone person in this room who was a wolf heard that and is now staring at me. I put my head down.

The bell rang and Mr. Field asked me to stay again.

"Melissa," He said, taking a seat. " I offered you a seat in my AP English class, you never met me in the office." He looked concerned. " It's only your second week here and you've missed half of your classes."
