"Thea, time to get up for school." I heard Sister Angie call from the other side of the door while she knocked. I sat up from the desk. I must have fallen asleep at the desk last night after doing my homework. "Thea?"

"Yeah. I'm up." I said.

"Time to get ready for school. Breakfast is almost ready." Sister Angie said.

"Okay. I'm coming." I said. I got up from my desk and unlocked the door. looking out into an empty hallway. I walked out and walked towards the shower room, grabbing a couple towels from the cupboard as I went.

I liked this time of day. None of the other kids will be up for another hour or two. The other kids still go to school here under the supervision of Sister Angie and the one teacher that comes everyday while I go to public school. Sister Angie just thought I outgrown going to school here so she sent me to Valley High. I turned the water on and stripped before getting in. I remember this one time I was so tired that I forgot to take my clothes off and I just stepped in and took a shower WITH my clothes on. I got water everywhere and I got grounded for a week. Now, it just makes me laugh. I finished my shower and wrapped a towel around my body and wrapped one around my hair. I put my dirty clothes I was wearing down the laundry shoot and walked back to my room. I shut the door again and locked it again, getting dressed for the day.

"THEA MARIE MITCHELL!" Sister Angie screamed up the stairs.

"I'm coming. I'm coming." I said, coming down the stairs with my bag over my shoulder.

"Good. Hurry up. Breakfast is ready. Your bus will be here in twenty minutes. Go eat." she said.

"Aye aye captain." I said, saluting her. She laughed.

"Go."  she said. I nodded and walked away. I walked into the kitchen to see a plate of eggs bacon and toast with a glass of juice next to it. I rolled my eyes. I would be fine with a granola bar and a glass of juice, but Sister Angie believes that a good big breakfast will start your day off right. I sat down and ate until I heard a honk outside.

"Bus is here." I said. I grabbed one of the donuts sitting on a plate on the counter and placed it in a paper bag along with a napkin. I grabbed my bag and placed it over my shoulder again and left the house.

"I need you straight home there are potential people coming to see you." Sister Angie said. I nodded. I walked out of the door and the bus doors opened. I got onto the bus.

"Morning Pete." I said.

"Morning Thea." he said. I handed him  the bag with the donut. He opened and then smiled back at me. "Thank you Thea." he said. I just smiled at him and took my usual seat in the middle of the bus next to my one best friend Gabrielle.

"Hey Thea." Gabrielle said. "Any adoption news?"

"Nope. Well, I have potential people coming to see me after school." I said.

"That's cool." she said. I just nodded and starred out the window. Isn't I suppose to happo
