I have a little sister
Who is turning 37 today
As you can see she isn’t so little anymore
But she still affects me in a very big way
We used to fight when we were younger
We just couldn’t seem to get along
But as we began to get older
Our relationship began to become strong
Once when I was out of the country
She sent a letter dedicating a song to me
She said I was the wind beneath her winds
In herself I had helped her to believe
I was in the pool when I read it
And as the words of the song flowed in my head
Tears dripped from my eyes to the water
And a wave of her love for me spread
Since then we have never fought
Each other’s biggest fans we have become
“I believe in you and I love you!”
Between us is the message now daily drummed
Dedicated to my wonderful little sister on her birthday
by her very grateful big brother
