XIUMIN's POV
Time went fast and the day was finally over. After closing the café. We went back to our house. Entering the house we saw are parents about to have dinner.
"Umma! (Mom)"
"Oh! There you two are"
"Sorry for coming home late" I said bowing to both my parents.
"Let's just eat dinner"
"Oh, later Minnie will tell you something"
"What?" I said to Sohee without a pint of clue in what she was saying.
After saying grace we started eating.
"Umma, guess what happened today?"
"What?"
"(y/n)"
"(y/n)?!"
"Ne(Yes), she came to the café"
"How did you convince her, I haven't that little girl for such a long time since what happened to her parents"
"She was actually fun to be with" I said while stuffing my face with rice.
Then they looked at me, me without clue just continued eating.
"Did she remember you?" My mom suddenly asked that made me choke a little with the food inside my mouth. I tried swallowing fast
"Well, since I went away for a few years of-"
"Mianhe" my mom said.
"I'm sorry, for what I did to your friendship. I shouldn't have done that because of a stupid fight between me and her mother"
"Umma, it's okay and besides look what benefit we had when I worked in America. Let's just hope for a positive result tomorrow"
After eating I went upstairs and stared at the wall, thinking about tomorrow should I give her something for her to remember me I thought. Then I remembered something a necklace, the necklace I was going to give her before flying to America. I decided to give that to her, the box with her favorite color and a picture. The picture was taken when we three were still little, Me, Sohee and (y/n).
(y/n) was my bestfriend since then until I had feelings for her when we grew up. The day before I was leaving was the day I was going to confess to her but she didn't come. My heart ached a little when I thought of that but tomorrow everything will change. I got in bed and slept the night away.
(Y/N)'s POV
You couldn't sleep, you kept turning. Something was bothering you. How could somehow the quiteness of your room bother you. You got up and went downstairs while passing the living room. You saw the time, it was already 5:00 p.m. since you couldn't sleep you ate breakfast and took a bath. After that you just sat in your living room couch watching movies. Then someone was knocking at the door.
Before opening the door you looked at the small hole to see who it was. It was Sohee with Xiumin, why are they here you thought. You slowly opened the door.
"Anyeonghaseyo, are we bothering you?" Sohee asked you
"Uhmmm...no, please come inside" you said gesturing for them to come inside.
"Sorry, I didn't know you were coming so the house is a bit messy"
"No it's fine, we actually brought you something" you saw Sohee elbowing Xiumin.
"Oh yeah, right" Xiumin said giving a paper bag. You opened the bag and saw a bunch of lunchboxes with food inside them and by the looks of it, it was just recently cooked.
"You shouldn't have"
"Xiumin made them for you" Sohee said that made you smile. You felt your cheeks burning, you were trying hard to hide them.
"Kahmsamnida(Thank you) again" You said bowing
You asked both of them to sit down in the living room and made three of your mom's special hot coco. The same recipe she made you when you were young. You went back to the living room with a tray of hot chocolate and gingerbread cookies.
"Thank you"
"Your welcome, why did you visit me here?"
"Nothing we just wanted to hang with you"
Then Sohee's phone started ringing. She answered seems like she was flustered.
"Wha- Ah! Ne arasso" she ended the call and rushed to put her coat on. She was in a hurry, why?
"Sohee!?"
"Sorry guys something" then she exited the door like a dash of lightning.
"Aish.that girl"
"Waeyo?"
"Ah, nothing" Xiumin seemed to be getting something from his pocket. After searching he held a box in your favorite color with a picture and ribbon.
"Can I have your hand"
"Wae-waeyo??"
Then you gave him your hand. His touch seemed so familiar and weird is that you feel static. He handed you the box. Still with question you looked at the box. The picture had three little kids in it, two girls and a boy. You immediately identified your face on your left was Sohee and on your right was-
Tears started forming in your eyes. You felt your heart break. You couldn't even breath properly soon you started to burst in to tears. Your hands were in your eyes, covering them. Then you felt the static touch of Xiumin. For the moment you saw him, he seemed familiar and now you know he was from the past. He brushed off your hair and held your face.
"I thought you were dead"
Xiumin's POV
"I thought you were dead" she thought I was dead
"Don't worry I'm here still breathing" I hugged her tightly like I didn't want her to be with another.Every tear falling from her eyes made me angry. Who made her thought I was dead? Still hugging her then she said something that shocked me
"Your mom"
I didn't need a minute to understand what she just said. I just hugged her tightly and I can feel her weakening. Like she was tired of the world.
"I'm sorry for leaving you" I said but she was asleep.
